Don't remember if they did this last year or not but the athletic department just released a survey for the fan experience at games. This is a good place to voice your opinion and help improve things!

I knew when I was completing the survey I would have to come here and edit out the link. The survey was sent to USD stakeholders. By offering the link on a public forum you are inviting the public from any school to come and influence the results of the survey by providing false information. Information is only good if it is accurate. The saying Garbage In - Garbage Out comes to mind.

I agree with our admin. Unless it's posted publicly it shouldn't be shared on a public forum. That being said I'm sure the athletic department would value feedback from fans that aren't yet season ticket holders too (I believe this was only sent to season ticket holders).

I've had experience in dealing with surveys that have been corrupted with false information. That's why I was sensitive to this issue. If USD wants to make the survey public they can post it on their website. This site won't be the one responsible for corrupting the survey.

I also agree with the admin and strongly discourage any attempts to circumvent the process. I received the survey and am not a season ticket holder, however, I am a Howling Pack member and to have made it to most home football games over the past several years and also a fair number of basketball games.

I was just sent the survey and have never been a season ticket holder, or Howling Pack member. I don't really go to that many games, either. The email I was sent the survey on is my work email. That's where I usually buy football or basketball tickets from.
Maybe its a different survey, but I doubt it based on the timing.
I did attend the WNIT final game that set the dome attendance record. That might be the common thread, and if so, pretty smart of them to target that group, trying to capitalize on the momuntum.

Must have been sent to anyone who bought tickets online as well then, perhaps carefully filtering out those who may be fans of visiting teams.

I can't imagine how many emails there were. Plus, most SDSU fans probably aren't using IMAJACKSFAN@gmail.com as their email so it's probably more difficult than you think

But I'm sure the option to filter by fans who only bought tickets to a game featuring SDSU and happen to live in that area, or simply all fans that exclusively bought tickets to SDSU (or NDSU) games, exists. There's ways to filter out visitors but you're bound to exclude a couple of your own in the process.

I have gone to 4 USD events this season. I would have gone to more, but my kids are in lots of activities in SF, and it's hard to get down to Vermillion. I went to the USD/SDSU football game, two of the Summit League Tournament games, and the WNIT final. Since the survey specifically talked about the Dome, I would guess that they were using the WNIT as a starting point. If true, I would guess that 99.5% of the fans that attended that game were Yote fans, no need to filter other than the allotment given to the few Gulf Coast families that came.

This is likely the common thread of buying tickets online for the Dome. I have purchased a number of tickets over the years and also the Coyote twitter arrives on the same email account.

My cousin received the survey and he and his wife only attended the first home football game last year. Bought their tickets online through the website.

My guess is it is a combination of season ticket holder, Howling Pack members, and fans who bought online as they would have your email address for each. Still, my point stands, the survey link was not made available to the general public, it was instead sent to a selected group (no matter how broad based that group might be). This site should not be the one that makes it public.

I agree with your decision to remove the link Yote 53. It's apparent that USD intended to control the survey with the parameters that they believed to provide the most accurate feedback. As for me, I'm much more inclined to accurately fill out a survey that is being sent to a targeted group versus one that is blasted to anyone that wants to take part. When the USD survey was emailed to me, I spent time answering the questions and tried to provide as much feedback as I could based on my experiences and I hope the rest of you did as well.

The one thing I forgot to add to my wish list is that I wish the entire area around the Dome, and inside the Dome, had fast, capable WiFi. It would make tailgating a lot better if we could stream ESPN3, BTN, Pandora, etc. in the parking lot while tailgating (without having to connect to a tower and burn up data). It would be much easier to just cast the game up to the smart TV than it is to set up the Dish, etc.
