He is small, but his film is fantastic. First team All-Dade County is no small feat either.

Dang, good luck to Ian. This is the time when larger schools may have open offers to give to the fringe athletes because their plan A backfired. One thing it shows is that the staff are getting higher rated recruits.

Welcome Kai!! He runs fast and smooth--is a great get! Also appears to be a very good blocker.

This must be commit Coach Moose was talking about... At 6'8", 270lbs, this is a big boy!

Hudl has Sammy listed at 6' not 6'8" which appears to be correct visually but he still is a great recruit with a lot of quickness, lateral movement is very good and he's a load to try and block at DT!!

Sammy's play on the line reminds me a lot of our Taylor Lambert, who is listed at 5'10" and 245lbs, and consistently "plays up" in size against much bigger guys positioned across the line from him and wins those battles because of his quickness and strength. If you watch Sammy's film you see lots of instances where he is beating bigger guys, shedding blocks, or working through double teams and making a play on the ball. Give this kid some time in the weight room and he will be good.

I had similar thoughts yotefan. I wonder if he was a wrestler too like Lambert was. He really sheds blocks!!

The "playmaker" is Kai Henry.
The "shopwrecker" is a DL - either Peters or Byrd, but I think Peters because those posts all refer to a "Home Grown Yote" which is the code for a SD kid.
Moose has a code he uses for various positions. Honestly, I don't think he put anything out for Byrd, which seems odd.
He uses "roadgrader" for OL. Generally, I think "playmaker" is everything else that is not DL or OL.

So what are everyone's plans for NSD? Does anyone plan to attend any of the events that have been scheduled? Or are you just going to follow all the tweets and wait for the Yote Football website to update throughout the day?
Wed, 5:30, Vern Eide Acura, Sioux Falls... The social will include a presentation from Nielson with video on each signee. Free to HP members, $10 for non-members. Thur, 5:30, Old Lumber Company, Vermillion... signing day edition of The Coyote Report, hosted by Joe Van Goor, social and presentation will follow the radio show, both of which are open to the public.
I am planning to follow events all day on my computer. Definitely planning to attend the Thursday social in Vermillion. Possibly attending the social at Vern Eide...
Also, do we have someone dedicated to updating this board as recruit letters flow in?

I'm sure one of you enterprising fellas will make a NDS 2017 thread and post the commits there as they come in. Heck. I'll make the official thread right now.

Does anyone know if we have any early enrollees of #Alphapack17 already on campus for the Spring semester?
