According to Rivals had offers from UNI and SDSU Coaching staff is doing something right that we keep winning these head-to-head commitment battles against rival teams in the conference. |

Koerner is another excellent recruit by the coaching staff! Played FS and WR and returned a lot of punts and KOs. Very good closing speed on D and sure tackler. Runs 4.55. Was named Iowa DB of the year!

I know he is big and strong, but does anyone know how fast he actually is? From the links CE posted in the Recruiting thread, Hawkeye fans seemed to be high on him. Anyone have any info as to who else had offered him? One link talked about his grades might be an issue for the Hawkeyes... hoping he has that straightened out by now.

For awhile the Coyotes were really privileged at the running back position with Jamel White, Dusty Stamer and Stefan Logan all within about a decade of each other. Since then we have been needing that stud/difference maker back. Maybe that will finally happen again. Hopefully Zachary will bring running and receiving skills to Vermillion. I would have to think that Nielson would want a good receiving back in his offense but that is just a guess.

I agree it would be great to see Calvin have an opportunity. As a reminder he is Nebraska's all-time career leader in rush yds with 7478, tops in career TDs with 103 and his career ave yd per carry is first at 8.79.
