Siri, can you give me directions to the 2018 North American Manure Expo?
"North on I-29 until you smell it, west until you step in it."

Here's the panorama they are selling from the game, shot before people were leaving.

I like the nickname "Dykhole Stadium" better. Let's make that a "thing".

They have Photoshop in Brookings too. If it makes you feel any better we've already sold twice as many tickets to Saturday's game than were at your game last week Edit: gosh it's beautiful:D

I really hate to bring to much reasoning to a smack topic but I feel SDSU's stadium is good but not great. The video tour was nice that the Argus put together of Zimmer and Sell. Some of the things behind the scenes like the suite area's, Loge seats, views of campus and so forth were nice. Some of the gathering area behind the main grand stand seem more like what you would find indoors in a basketball arena. Cozy feel to it by just watching the video. The single best thing about this stadium is actually the artificial turf which has been needed for not years but decades. Not a fan of the checkerboard that State likes to do but otherwise the turf is nice. The thing I think downgrades the stadium to merely good is that they didn't build either side of the field high enough between the goal lines and put seats off the ends of the stadium that very well could have been higher seats closer to the middle of the field and not off behind the end zone. In other words I think the grand stands should have been built higher. I kind of like the setup that Youngstown State has www.ysusports.com/information/facilities/stambaugh_stadium. It may look kind of generic and may not be the most pleasing stadium to the eye but I would have to think they build a 20K seat stadium very wisely and good for the most fans possible for the view they would get of the field. I like their large high, steep grand stand on the main side of the field. That alone seats over 17K with a total capacity of over 20K. Whatever the opinion on the Dyk this stadium is a needed and big improvement over Coughlin Alumni Stadium. I do look forward to going up to a game there some time.

I agree with what you are saying that the view at YSU would be better than a corner end zone seat at the Dyke. The Dyke is visually much better, but may not have as many good seats. State can add on to the East grandstand if they needed, or at least that is what I have heard (I have no clue how steep the east side is) so if they ever have the need (remains to be seen) I think they have that possibility. I'd take the Dyke over Stambaugh.

I'd take the Dyke over Stambaugh. If the Jacks would eventually double the amount of seats on the west side of the field I would upgrade the Dyk from good to very good. Until that happens it's remaining in the "good" category. We will have to see if the Sanford Coyotes Sports Center falls into, "good", "very good" or "great" category. By just looking at the videos the SCSC gets the nod so far but it is kind of like comparing apples to bananas.

Get excited! Comming to Brookings next August....
Lots of great drops and quotes from this vid. Watch the guy prodding a pile of manure with his tennis shoes on towards the end of it.

I really think they should change the date until sometime during basketball season that way they can have the pig auction and the manure showcase all at the same time at Frost Arena. It's too bad oooo-we-pooo-we won't be able to be the guest during that event. I am sure they could sell tickets with the perks of being able to not only pet a pig but also be able to test out a manure pile similar to how they would test out a new mattress.
