Well it's run and run again. The Coyotes are making this too easy for UND. The Coyotes are changing up what worked and now playing not to lose. I thought things were gonna be different after the way we opened up the 3rd quarter but we are putting ourselves in this situation by not continuing to do what worked. Now the Coyotes force a pass on 3rd and long and it is a pick 6. This was actually all setup by the Coyotes not passing earlier and then when they are forced to pass it all goes wrong. We are playing right into North Dakota's hands.

I like the uptempo, but if we are up a few TDs milk the clock a little. How many times has a Coyote team been up big and attempted to milk the clock only for it to fall apart. I am a go for the jugular type of guy and always have a mind set up play to win and not play not to lose. The Coyotes were doing that but changed their mind set. |

Don't throw the pick 6 and we are on the bus home with a W If it's not a pick 6 then the Coyotes would have had to punt anyway. Who's to say UND would not have scored anyway. If this is a loss it's because the Coyotes went conservative and relied on a defense that is not very good to win the game for them. On the drive that ended up a pick 6 I would have actually come out throwing on first down and do exactly what the Hawks don't expect. When they run and run again which plays right into the Hawks strength then it's no surprise they are in a situation in 3rd and long where the Hawks are then expecting a pass. This Coyote offense is not built to milk the ball or the clock. The reason that the Coyotes were ahead in the first place was because they had success throwing the ball down field. Once they stopped doing that it's not just irony that the entire game changed. Now UND is up 7 in OT. |
