Always fun to get such a good win! It was nice to see the offense not give away points! I was very impressed by the O-Line who did a terrific job opening running lanes and giving Streveler time in pass protection. Streveler and Bouma make a great 1-2 punch running the ball, but I have yet to see a second RB that has been effective when Bouma needs a break, Fredrick has yet to show much. Defensively, that was our best game to date. The move of Graham to outside LB really seems to be paying off as Gray has proven to be a good replacement at safety and Moreland has done surprisingly well at the "Mike LB" considering he does not fit the typical profile for the position. The coaching staff is doing a great job of putting our best athletes on the field to keep us fast and aggressive. I will be honest and say that I thought the huge O-Line of UNI (over 300lb avg) would wear us down and they might be able to control the clock with the ground game in the second half of the game. Thankfully, our D-Line really stepped up and played well to the final whistle, also a "shout out" to the UNI coach who went away from a ball control, pound and ground game plan and instead tried to pass (21 passing attempts) when he should have stayed with the run. This weekend's game with Indiana St. is important and will go a long way in determining how the rest of the season might look. Go Yotes!

Yotes I agree with your post. Just a caution that we need to prepare and play like every team in the MVFC is NDSU quality. There are certainly no easy games in the Valley. The offense should continue to get better with experience using the new system and the defense should also improve especially since some players are in new positions. It is certainly an exciting time for Coyote football!!

Anyone know if we had any recruits at the D Day game? It would have been a great game for them to see!

Anyone know if we had any recruits at the D Day game? It would have been a great game for them to see! Talked to both Lincoln Gibbs (RB) and Jakob Parks (QB from Clearwater, FL), both seemed really excited! There were a few others down on the field prior to the game as well.
