A little more detail regarding the 1985 and 1986 teams. Before I was a Coyote Fan in 1986 as a teenager I was on a high school band trip to Dakota Days and watched the first half of the Augustana game before I was forced to leave at half time. I don't have a vivid memory of the game other than knowing that the Coyotes were good. I wish I could remember those seasons more than I do. I do remember listening on an old radio to the UC Davis playoff game that the Coyotes won. I don't remember at all the semi final game against Troy State but did watch the national title game on TV and remember being very disappointed in losing to NDSU. If I would have known back then what I know now I would have probably walked the 25 miles that I would have had to walk just to be there for those home playoff games.
I know this isn't supposed to be for discussion but for anyone that remembers those seasons don't hesitate to share some personal memories of them. I would like to hear more about those days. I hear the dome was rocking for those playoff games. I believe the 85 and 86 playoff games are the only playoff games hosted in the Dakota Dome ever.

Not a Yote related story, but it does offer insight into FB recruiting. Craig Bohl (Nebraska, NDSU, and now Wyoming) gives his perspective, gained over many years, on what he looks for in a possible recruit:
