I know - no comments in this section. But to me, that link read "USD Springfield Mens...." Few people under age 50 will have any idea what I mean.

(No, I wasn't alive when USDS existed but I do know this little bit of trivia) I have a Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandmother that taught there for many years in the 1910s- 1940s. Arch and Vira Crawford. He was even the Vice-President for some of that time. My Grandpa grew up in Springfield, and was an avid duck hunter. - I've never been there. Maybe someday I will go. Is there anything historical to see there? (asking anyone)

Springfield has a nice golf course. Driving along the river has some nice scenery as well. The town is quite small.

I believe there is a USDS sports hall of fame somewhere in town. I have never been, so not exactly sure where but would guess it would not be too difficult to find.

If you are visiting Springfield, check out the guy building the 72 foot, 30 ton sale boat in his backyard - right north of main street. sailingdakota.com/

Thanks! The golf course looks nice. I'll have to get my pictures of old photos of great grandpa together and book a flight, lol
