Hey, I'm ok with BB3 going to EMU. It is FBS and not YSU.

Hey, I'm ok with BB3 going to EMU. It is FBS and not YSU. Exactly. On another note, I am fairly certain that Joe Kordus is already on campus. His twitter doesn't say USD commit, it says South Dakota LB. All of his follows are current players and students. The Jan. 11 date would make sense to. He would have still been in the window to enroll.

Do we know anything about Cody Jennings? JUCO works a little different for a mid-year transfer than regular signing day. They are able to sign mid-December (not sure the actual date). He's already included on the roster on USD's website (unable to do a screen shot but you can look it up if you'd like).

Good work guys on pulling this all together and keeping on top of it. Is there a list somewhere that shows how many of our new players had FBS offers and/or other MVFC offers? It feels like often the competition for a player was FBS - not even other MVFC teams. (Plus the seem like some big boys - I only noticed 1 or 2 that were 6' or under.)

So neither one of the West Des Moines players panned out. One signed as a walk-on at Iowa and the other just...nothing...does anybody know?

I was wondering the same. Zachary still has USD commit on his twitter, no activity today. Like CE said, maybe academics? I have no inside info.

If that's the case hopefully he can take care of his business there and make his way into wearing Coyote Red in a little while.

An uniformed fan’s grades (based on no real knowledge of how to grade talent):
QB: (A) We got the guy (or a guy) we wanted early and kept him. He is tall, moves well and is from a winning program in Florida.
RB: (B-) This may be a little harsh, but I think we needed to get another guy. Henry sounds great and you cannot overstate being 1st Team All-Dade County. I am not convinced that Gibbs sticks at RB. I would love to hear what happened with Zachary. Based on his Twitter activity, his departure from Dawling for the spring semester, etc., I think we may have cut him loose.
WR: (A) I don’t know that we absolutely needed anybody here, but I think we got a star in Crawford. I LOVE Case’s apparent passion for USD.
TE: (A) I didn’t see us use the TE much last year, but I love seeing the twin towers at 6-5 and 6-7! This will be great in the red zone.
OL: (A+) We added an immediate contributor in Jennings after the graduations of Banks and Meinert. Ciurej was the best OL on the best team in NE for two years. We addressed needs at every position on the line and have tons of potential to work with for the future. There are a couple guys that could join the 2-deep next year, I think.
DL: (A+) Biggest position of need on the team, if you ask me. We held off KU for Klug, ISU for Coker, NDSU for Chuol! Schultz and Stanley have huge bodies to build on. This depth chart will look COMPLETELY different next year.
LB: (B) The loss of Nordell really hurt here. I think Amusan has great potential and I wouldn’t be shocked to see Joanis moved here in the future. Speed is the key. The gains in the DL will make our LB position look better next year.
DB: (A-) This may not be fair, but I will penalize us for the loss of Koerner and Soko. Frankly, however, we didn’t have any pressing needs at DB. Regardless, CB, DL and OL are like gold. You take it when you can. Bolden and Sommerville are guys you take every day of the week.
ST: (N/A) Getting a K/P was essential and we will need a LS after Godsey graduates next year. I won’t even consider trying to provide a grade here.
Overall: (A-) I think that failing to get another LB and RB was a missed opportunity. I think we needed a difference maker at RB and I am not convinced that we don’t need one more fast LB. Also, it hurts to lose guys with top end talent in the 11th hour. Maybe I am just being bitter here.
