As a season ticket holder, I am seriously underwhelmed by this schedule. Most of it has been known for a while but I feel justified complaining now that it is official.
7 non-conference games at home. 4 are lower division and the 3 D1 games barely move the needle. The SDSU game is on a freaking weeknight and NDSU visits over Winter break. I know conference scheduling is something the AD does not control, but that doesn't help me or excuse the non-conference.
There are 3 additional games at the Pentagon, but I probably won't even bother. Would have to leave work early on Friday, potentially miss the USD football playoff game on Saturday, and also buy tickets and drive to Sioux Falls 3 times. I get more than enough of that in March.
I was optimistic that a conference title would improve the teams we hosted, but this is a terrible home schedule.

Are nonconference teams going to be clamoring to play a conference champion team on the road? It might actually make scheduling harder. Don't know for sure but just a thought. We have no say in conference scheduling, but it does seem like the Summit is doing its best to keep attendance down in Vermillion and Brookings. I just don't understand that at all.

Just a quick question by reading the comments on this board my guess is that when there is a double header fans have to pay to get into both games cause i know at western and a few other teams if you pay to get into the 1st game the second is free.

No, winning is supposed to help you in scheduling. Schools are looking for good teams to play. I tried to think of a real low-level, consistent champ at D1. I think Florida Gulf Coast fits that. The Atlantic Sun is, in my opinion, below the Summit in terms of prestige and quality of competition. FGCU has 8 home games against D1 schools, with half of them hailing from conferences with a higher profile than the Summit: www.fgcuathletics.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbballI want a schedule like that. We would almost be there if the Pentagon games were in Vermillion, and I can understand the administration chasing the Sioux Falls market, but I feel ripped off paying full price for this home slate.

Tickets now on sale for HP and season ticket holders for the Pentagon showcase featuring the Yote men playing three days in a row... Nov 24, 25, and 26 vs Youngstown St, Southern Miss, and Northern Colorado... Tickets are quite reasonable... $37.50+fees for a three day package deal. You should have gotten an email with details to log in. Tickets go on sale to general public Thursday, I believe. www.ticketmaster.com/Sanford-Pentagon-tickets-Sioux-Falls/venue/50533

I expected to pay about 60.00 for all three days. I know for sure I will be there all three days but not sure when I will buy the tickets. I believe that there should be good seats available all the way up to the tip off of the first game. It would be great if tickets were at a premium but about a thousand fans are what I would expect, maybe 2,000 tops. I believe the arena holds about 3,000. I have had a great time everytime I have watched the Yotes play there. Eventhough the pentagon is slightly (i used to say significantly) over rated it is still a nice place to watch a game.

I'm hoping to be busy watching a playoff game at the dome that Saturday, unless we got a top 8 seed. So I'm holding off purchasing for that day for sure.
