So here's a run-down of the scholarship situation, as I see it:
2017-2018 team = 14 Scholarships(including 1 sitting transfer), one open schollie 2018-2019 team = lose 3 seniors(Duffy/Trimboli/KLiv) --------------------- lose one transfer(Bradley), ----------------------add two schollie freshmen(Sankey/Peplowski), ----------------------add two walk-on freshmen(Shoenbeck/Terronez) = three open schollies 2019-2020 team = lose 1 senior(Arens), ----------------------add three freshmen(Ugofsky/Guebert/Hempe) = one open schollie 2020-2021 team = lose 4 seniors(TayFred/Bonar/Duffy/Mac), ----------------------add 1 Freshman(Hansen) = four open schollies
So to summarize, I would not be surprised to see either Schoenbeck or Terronez to be awarded a scholarship during the upcoming season, but not both. Awarding that one schollie would prevent adding any more to the 3-athlete 2019 class, but would still allow three more spots in the 2020 class. My guess is that they might wait on awarding that extra schollie, so they always have a spot for an incoming transfer.
Crazy that we only have one senior for this upcoming season!

I wonder what these two tweets have to do with each other?

It looks like Emma R. holds offers from USD, SDSU, NDSU and now Creighton.
Just for reference, here is USD's record against those teams over the last four seasons:
6-5 vs. SDSU 7-1 vs. NDSU 3-0 vs. Creighton

She did receive an offer from Wichita State in October as well. Others not listed include Indiana State, Bradley, and St. Bonaventure.

Changes to open scholarships by class:
2017-2018 team 14 Scholarships(including 1 sitting transfer) one open scholarship
2018-2019 team lose 3 seniors(Duffy/Trimboli/KLiv) lose one transfer(Bradley) add two freshmen(Sankey/Peplowski) add two walk-on freshmen(Shoenbeck/Terronez) three open scholarships
2019-2020 team lose 1 senior(Arens) add three freshmen(Ugofsky/Guebert/Hempe) one open scholarship
2020-2021 team lose 4 seniors(TayFred/Bonar/Duffy/Mac) add 2 Freshmen(Hansen/Krull) three open scholarships
I think that sometimes "extra" scholarships can be awarded to walk-ons retroactively, and on a year-to-year basis. If that's right, I could see Shoenbeck/Terronez getting them for just this season, and we would still have one open each year for a transfer. Also, I'm guessing we will add two more to the 2020 class.

Now Coach P would like to close the deal and get a commitment from Maddie's HS and AAU teammate Jayme Horan. She is just as sought after as Maddie. Also a 2020.
