I watched some tape on all of the commits and made a quick list of who I believe passed the eye test the most and may see some early playing time. Keep in mind that some players were better at keeping up on their tapes though I like to skip to the middle to see the good plays but avoid the highlight plays that every recruit can achieve. This is just a lighthearted list with some notes.
1. WR Marquis Majors 6' 175 - smooth receiver, creates separation, finds holes, +blocker 2. DE Ethan Burson 6'4" 275 - Big/athletic frame with room to add muscle, good technique, I've already coined him as "Big Country" 3. CB Tre Jackson 6' 175 - Great awareness, fierce hitter/tackler 4. OLB Dakota Smith 6'2" 205 - Freak athlete, will need to add muscle, speed and awareness, could change position 5. DE Brendan Webb 6'4" 205 - Athletic and quick off the snap, lenky and will need to add weight, reminds me of Van Ginkel 6. RB Canaan Brooks 6' 210 - Quick and shifty for his size, good lateral movement 7. CB Rodney Sivils Jr. 6'2" 205 - physical corner, knows where the ball is 8. WR Anthony Turner JUCO 6'4" 220 - strong/tall receiver, hard to tackle, can make pancake blocks, catches ball at highest point 9. QB Tyler Foote 6'2" 220 - Big bodied, huge arm, throw effortlessly, not mobile 10. SS Jakari Starling 6'2" 205 - quick and looks the part, needs better pad level

Admittedly, this is a little nit picky, but I disagree with the statement that Tyler Foote is not mobile. Is he Streveler? No, not many are. Is he a run 1st guy that is going to pull it down after his 1st read and run the majority of the time? Nope. But he is mobile. In his highlight film, 80% of his throws are on the run. He does a really nice job of moving around the pocket and extending plays, all while keeping his eyes down field. Most of the time his team is running RPOs and read option stuff, they wouldn't be doing that if he was immobile. He even takes off and gets effective yardage on some scrambles. Is he a burner and a big play threat running the football in the way our QB has been the last 2 seasons? Not even close. But he is mobile, and he more than makes up for that with the big play potential of his arm. Like I said, more semantics than anything, but I don't think that he is immobile. Go Yotes

Yes I did, the kid is fast and I wanted to include him, but felt like 2 WRs was enough. I also did not include OL in this list as it takes more time to analyze the film and this was just something quick for fun.

Said it before, but SIU had some big dudes when they came to town. They just played terribly undisciplined. They get that figured out and they could be a player in the MVFC.

So tomorrow when the Yotes' recruiting class is ranked ahead of the Jacks' class, will Jacks fans: 1. Give our staff credit. 2. Call it fake news, and say HeroSports is biased, or wrong. 3. Discredit recruiting rankings in general, saying their staff is better at development. 4. Insinuate that we are cheating, negative recruiting, etc. 5. ?

I would suspect 2,3, and 5 with 5 being a reference to a lesser deficit than the coyote's in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes already on the team. But, what do I know? Not only did I never coach the game, I never played it.

Here is his top 40 list of MVFC recruits: herosports.com/fcs/recruiting-mvfc-rankings-2018-class-ajajNDSU took 4 of the top 10 guys. SIU had 2 of the top 10. USD, Illinois State, Missouri State, WIU each had 1. Total by school (average ranking of recruits in parentheses): NDSU - 13/40 (19.1) Southern Illinois - 6/40 (20.1) USD - 4/40 (16.0) Illinois State - 3/40 (17.7) Western Illinois - 3/40 (23.7) UNI - 3/40 (20.7) Youngstown State - 3/40 (30.0) Missouri State - 2/40 (11.5) sdsu - 2/40 (25.0) Indiana State - 1/40 (34.0) Obviously this doesn't measure a whole class, nor does it directly translate into on-field results, but the top 40 in the MVFC are some really good players. You can see FBS offers all the way down to the 38th guy, and 31/40 held an FBS offer. The body of the class and coaching staff will spell out the actual results. I'm sure Indiana State (and maybe brookings) will be able to overcome this top 40.

Not sure if anyone knows but I do keep the first post in this thread updated if you are looking for a quick reference to the incoming class. Any mistakes/edits are welcome.
