I know it's only been two games but the XFL is pretty decent football and fun to watch. If they can build upon this weekend and improve every week there is no reason this league can't make it.

Without a dedicated following and without significant differentiation it will take a while to build their revenues, if that ever comes. I think they have a solid plan for the league, but I could see impatient leadership pulling the plug. I agree that shouldn't happen but we are talking about a league that failed once already.

Vince McMahon has sunk about $130 million of his own money into it and the league has funding to last 3 years. He hopes to turn a profit in year 4.
Doesn't hurt they have TV contracts with FOX and ABC/ESPN. If the league can perform and improve upon the games today I think they can make it.

Doesn't hurt they have TV contracts with FOX and ABC/ESPN. If the league can perform and improve upon the games today I think they can make it. The TV contracts are huge. My limited research says that every single game will be broadcast nationally. I think they have a fantastic plan in place. Still, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Vince McMahon just pulled the plug on the league. Profits are very far away and he has axed a promising league once already.

The XFL 1.0 turned into a bigger disaster week after week. Had to pull the plug on that league as it was based solely on gimmics and marketing. They seem to be doing things right this time. Good players, reputable coaches, quality play, good pace of play with some interesting rule twists. Seems much more solid.

Tyson had an assisted tackle on special teams yesterday in the Dragon's win over Tampa Bay. He played sparingly due to his hand being clubbed up.

Tyson played on kick return and kick coverage teams. Had several nice blocks on returns and close to several assists/tackles on coverage. Didn't look like his hand was wrapped.

Tyson is playing S in the Spring League for the Sea Lions and tonight had a fumble recovery and numerous tackles. Sea Lions beat the Generals 17-13 on FS1. He also played on special teams.
