When the Coyotes went 3 and out up 21-6 ironically they ran right up the middle for a 1 yard loss on first down and that played right into BG's hands. Then they became more predictable with pass pass. Don't like runs up the middle especially with a small back.

Good 4th down stop for the Yotes. Horrible play calling by the Falcons. A slow plotting run between the tackles won't work even against an average D line but great job Yotes.

The Coyotes are getting too deep pass happy. There is nothing wrong with working the short to intermediate passing game to open up the stuff down field.

Donovan should have caught that Yes he should have. Their receiver should have caught this deep one too though.

If the Coyotes defense continues to play like this the Coyotes are going to be one good football team this year. It is an "IF" still but great start to the season by this unit.

The officials messed up the call on the Streveler scramble. He stay in bounds long enough and stretched the ball out over the sticks. Bad break there.

I'd like to see us sustain more drives, like our first one. We've had a one play scoring drive and a scoring drive that started on the BG 22. I like what I'm seeing in this last drive of ours in the first half.

21-9 Coyotes at half. The Yotes have played well but not out of this world well but we gotta be very happy with what we are seeing. How about that D as they have earned their keep so far. Obviously we have been in these positions before and had things narrow at the end. Lets win this thing going away like this team is capable of doing.
Now I am going into nit picky mode and I am not doing this to intentionally knock on the Yotes but some of these small (or maybe not so small) things are going to make a big difference by the end of the season. The Coyotes are their own worst enemy sometimes on offense. They let the air out of their own tires. The Coyotes when they run on first down up the middle with a slight of build running back it is going to turn into nothing more then not. Might as well snap the ball and spike it. That was the point in the game when they ran up the middle on first down that bogged down the offense for most of the 2nd quarter. I like when the Yotes use the controlled passing game as their running game. They had a nice first down screen pass to the side line but the receiver dropped the ball. I really liked that call. Steveler is the running game as he is very effective doing so. Let this guy have the ball in his hands which has been the case most of the time. The Coyotes definitely need to work on their intermediate passing game because they throw deep too often (and I am the kind of person that likes to throw deep to open up the field). The route running could use some improvement and the play calling needs to take advantage of the skill of these receivers. I know I am being critical of an offense that looks very good at times but consistency has kind of been an issue. This game is there for the taking and it would be a nice win but there is way too much time to go and I have a devil sitting on my shoulder hitting me in the head with a mallet telling me "it's only half time dummy". Lets squash that little devil this time.

A couple dropped passes and a dumb hit out of bounds on D, but otherwise a good half. It feels like we left some points on the field in the first half - likely can't do that in the second half. Streveler looked tired at the end of the half.

The clowns running the ESPN3 broadcast forgot to come back for the 3rd quarter. My event is NOT in a commercial break - we have the ball at the BG 27.
