D is finally looking vulnerable. Front 7 getting dominated. Ndsu is just very good. Still in this but strev looks flustered Disagree on DL, but agree on our LB's. Where are they??

Someone quick post a bulletin because we need an all out search for the Coyotes defense. They are suspected to be located somewhere between Vermillion SD and Fargo ND.
What happened to the code green that NDSU was supposed to wear. I am not a big fan of yellow uni's (and don't say they are gold) but they are working for the Herd.
The Coyote D has been lethargic at best. The Bison are running and passing all over them. I never expected this much offense in the game. Streveler is just a stud and that is all I can say. He looks really good out there today and the value that he provides to this team is unreal. I just hope he can stay healthy. Chris is doing absolutely everything he can to help this team win but the defense needs to do their part. I doubt the Bison D at home normally gives up this many yards by halftime. This is definitely not the formula that is going to work well for a win. Even if the Yotes come back in the second half it will be very difficult to finish it all the way for a win.
I imagine the second half will slow down with the yards gained which would be better for NDSU.

Can't believe State handled these guys like they did. We are going to need some help from the home crowd next week.

Our D is now what we thought it was. Truth hurts

We are not looking very good right now. We are going to taking a beating in the rankings. Now have to worry about making the playoffs at all. Playoff home game has become unrealistic at this point.

Wow. Totally unexpected. Somehow it just got out of hand. Haven’t had time to analyze damage. This is going to change things though.
How Big is next week? Hopefully the home team will win as they have in the other two Dakota bowls this year

Hopefully the home team will win as they have in the other two Dakota bowls this year It’s not that hard to fathom. We are down to our 5th-6th corners who have little experience. And most of our D line is young. This kinda game happens

The seeds planted for today's game are just as much about the Illinois State game and the UNI game as it was about today. If there is one lesson that this program needs to learn is that you cannot let off the gas for one second in this league. I mean that in the context of a game and of a season. The Coyotes season went down the tank last year when they let the impossible happen to them at home against WIU. They never recovered from that and the direct effect of that was a loss at SIU which they could not afford to lose because of the hangover effect of the week before. This could easily be the second season in a row that the Coyotes have let the season slip quite a bit after having a lead in a game and then blowing it in a big way leading to a loss such as last week. Those losses have big time damaging effects. The season may have taken a turn a little sooner if the Coyotes don't get the late pick at WIU and have that game also be lost.
This all started at Illinois State but the WIU game may have had more lasting effects than people realize even though it was a win. At no point in time IMO is it a good thing to let go of your dominant aura. The Coyotes had that and lost it. That loss is still effecting the Coyotes and ironically the off field issue falls into that same time frame. I think we are where we are at because of a combination of two things. One the inability to hold onto leads which unfortunately has been a trend in the Nielson era. Secondly the inability to bring the same type of game on the road that they bring at home. The Coyotes simply do not play with the same energy away from home.

We got beaten on all counts. Streveler is a stud but can’t beat teams by himself. Next week we will beat The bunnies at the Dome and make the playoffs. Hopefully fall in a good spot.... and this team will reenergize more experience for inexperienced players and we can go hard in the playoffs!
