James doing kickoffs rather than Weese is 👍
Have to get a pass rush. Stopping the run but can't get to the QB on 3rd downs.

Here's my view of the Doug Lewis targeting play.

anyone wanna try to explain how that hit by lewis was targeting? MVFC refs Those are so tough. I don't think penalties should even be giving for targeting at all unless there is a review. These penalties happen by accident almost as often as they are called to a guy intentionally trying to knock the guys head off with the crown of his helmet.

NDSU had a none existant targeting call and ejection too. Announcers were startled it was upheld in review.

Watching the full game in person, these refs are atrocious. Many points from their shitty calls.

Game isn't quite over, but another win that was simply never in question. Final score won't show the complete dominance USD exhibited today.

It's a one score game with 2:11. Great rally by WIU. It's a whale of a game.

Tell me how we pissed away such a big lead and let one receiver look like such a rock star?

This could have been one of those types of wins that could have had all Coyote fans fist pumping left and right and maybe people still are doing that. That was almost the biggest epic collapse in Coyote history. We have got to learn how to play better with the lead. I am barely breathing right now when I should have just about been sleeping right now. We came within a sliver of having a season type changing collapse, so let's just be thankful that this time they were able to hold on. So many good things about this game but we must maintain that great play all the way through the game.
I still cannot believe we are 4-0 heading back to Vermillion with 3 of 4 at the dome. No more near collapses please or I won't be able to make it through the end of the season.
I am relieved now but as the week goes on I will become more excited.

Took our foot off the gas like last year... got conservative with the play calling and almost lost the game.

Well if USD was going to take the foot off the gas when they were up by 30 it would help if they let the play clock run down all the way before snapping the ball. There were two to three possessions they could have run much more time off the clock and it almost cost the game. Some big injuries today to two of our LBs. That really hurts if they are out next week.

My two cents no one in the valley wants to play either of these teams the officials in this game were simply awful in both ways that game was the type of game that drove WIU fans nuts when Nielsen was hear good luck the rest of the season and who knows maybe we will meet again this year.

Same to you - thank you for coming on the board and sharing your insights. It is always more fun when we have the supporters of other teams come to take part in the discussions. Good luck the rest of the year. I like your coach and the systems he is running. WIU will win several games in the MVFC.

I agree thanks to the Western Illinois fans for coming and sharing opinions. You are classy people and I hope you can figure out everything budget wise to be able to continue as budding rivals with us in the Summit/MVFC. We have already had so many great games between the two universities.
