I have been "pumped" all week waiting for today. The question that's going to be settled in my mind is this: Are these young guys, led by a veteran QB ready to compete on the national stage of what we know is FCS football?
In my mind, we have the advantage of a better QB and receiving corps. I think our defensive backs are better. We are disadvantaged in both lines and now linebackers with Wessel out and decidedly out manned at running back. On paper, advantage ( somewhat big one ) Youngstown State. But then throw into the equation the "it factor". In my world it's called heart. Playing with a chip. The we don't give two craps if the world thinks they are better attitude.. USD, in my opinion, has a marked advantage in this area.
I expect a 4 quarter fist fight. No injuries and a raucious crowd and we have a great chance to win this game. On paper, I think we lose. On the field, in the Dome, I think we win.
