IF that happens it will be fun to watch. It's possible. They have a good run defense but NDSU had 246 yards rushing against them.

Quick note on today's game: The Yotes HAVE NEVER LOST in the game after a W over YSU. One more observation. As evidence of how close these 2 teams are, if you combine their records: 5-5 It doesn't get more even than that!

So much for our perfect record of no offensive turnovers...

A lot of fun watching the game today but it's back to work tomorrow. Illinois State is going to be looking for redemption and it's their homecoming. It's going to be tough. Just another week in the MVFC.

I try to make myself think the Illinois State game is going to be the first loss but everything the Coyotes have been doing and everything that the Redbirds have been doing is making the brain think the Coyotes should win that game.

Where are all the posts after a big win today. I thought coming into this game that Streveler's accuracy was under-rated. Not only is it under-rated but it is lethal at this point. Chris puts it right on the money almost every time. The receivers just keep coming up with big plays. How many difficult touchdown catches have the Coyotes pulled off in just two weeks. I believe it would be difficult to count it on one hand. To top it off Simmons comes in and his first pass goes for a long touchdown and not very much later Simmons over throws his receiver only to have it snatched out of the air with seemingly one hand. Remember this is a team that had absolutely zero first team all conference players.
So for those that predicted a let down, well that was the furthest thing from happening. How can anyone really ask any more of this team than what they have delivered. Indiana State was so afraid of getting beat deep that they were letting the Coyotes have the bubble screen to the flat pretty much all second half long. They were not even touching the Yote receivers until they caught the ball and got 5 yards down field. The Coyotes are getting really good at taking what the defense gives. I have never seen a Coyote team do so well with in game adjustments then what I have seen from this team.

After half of the first quarter the Coyote Offense and Defense dominated!! The all time record for USD offensive yds in a game is 746 so their 705 wasn't far off. Great balance rushing and passing and a lot of play makers got involved led by Chris's 5 TDs! Great team win Yotes--way to take care of business!! GO YOTES!!!

I will say one thing about Indiana State...their punter could absolutely crush it.

I will say one thing about Indiana State...their punter could absolutely crush it. I was thinking the exact same thing. ISUb may not have been winning a heck of a lot of battles but that punter was their best player today.

That was a whole lot of fun. Trap game averted. The offense was very precise and defense was excellent as well.

That was a whole lot of fun. Trap game averted. The offense was very precise and defense was excellent as well. Was very impressed with how the defense and coaches adjusted to ISU schemes after their first two drives. ISU had new formations that caught our guys by surprise, but we shut them down after we adjusted. Also very impressed with how the OL wore down their front seven. Ben Klett and the other running backs ran with great power and punished that tacklers. Great team win. Go yotes!!!

How would you like to be the opposing D-coordinator trying to plan for us? Do you choose to stop the run game, maybe focus on Streveler, but remember we have 3 different running backs each with their own style who can also be effective. and if you are putting 8 in the box then that opens up the passing game. Ok, so you sell out to stop our passing game, do you worry about the long game or the short game? Which receiver do you put your best cover man on? Don't forget the Tight Ends can catch and we can hit RBs out of the backfield, so pick your poison! Do you try to pressure the QB? Don't forget, he is our top runner as well. If you do not pressure the QB, remember he has yet to throw a pick, has been accurate all year, can throw all of the passes, and reads defences and takes what is given. This team is a nightmare for opposing coaches, and our ability to stay balanced use all of our weapons and adjust to what others try to do has made this offence an absolute juggernaut! Oh, let's not forget the O-line has been absolutely terrific even with a major injury. We are 6-0 and this is not by mistake or luck, this is by design! Great job to the coaching staff for putting the right athletes in the right positions to terrorize D-coordinators around the MVFC!
