Would anyone who is expecting a Jacks win care to give some thoughts as to why? I am truly curious, and as I noted above, it makes me wonder if I'm missing something (it is not smack/dig on them). On paper it looks heavily weighted towards WIU, who ranked 7 spots higher in the AGS poll and playing at home. Thanks in advance! In watching the past three games (on replay) that is my thought. The weather although not ideal, will be cool but not cold for the players, and the wind will not be as strong as what we have been experiencing lately in the Dakotas. Under 10 mph wind is currently forecast for kickoff. SDSU's Oline is improving and protecting T.C. is crucial to their offense. He appears to get rattled at times if he takes hits and is under pressure. This will be key. I also think the way WIU plays defense, some of their normal pressures they run will not be run as often due to having to account for SDSU's big TE. I am certainly in the minority here, but I believe SDSU wins by 10+ tomorrow. We all get to see tomorrow. The only game I really care about is USD v SIU - lets start tailgating now! Thanks for the insights. Still feels like it is assuming the game is 2016 SDSU vs. 2017 WIU - last week SDSU was in a dogfight at half against MSU, and I don't mean Mississippi State. but those preconceived notions are hard to shake. (See the last few comments on the SIU thread as proof)

For what it is worth - I am basing my prediction not on last year but on their last three games. UNI was a complete egg lay, but there was some uncharacteristic turnovers that turned a poor performance into a resounding loss. They dominated SIU (good team IMO that I also believe USD will handle comfortably), and MO St game (SDSU’s defense is suspect but, now has found offensive momentum. They are getting healthier and playing well. I think we will see them keep that momentum until the following week when they play NDSU.

Nice warm day here in Macomb IL its about 30 degrees warmer than the last time we played the Jacks here winds out of the NW at about 15 mph so not a big factor.

Last time weather was such a factor that the visitors barely even made it. Really played into the strength of WIU if I'm remembering correctly. Still had Watson to just grind the opponent.

NDSU in the red zone 3 Times, no points. Game tied 0-0
YSU may have given it up trailing 28-0.
SDSU is ahead of WIU 24 - 17. Good game. Some big plays.

Yea, they really exploded.
It’s the week of separating ISUr and SDSU shaking off any doubts.
There are some big games left in this league.

We had 3 near perfect 5-1 scores.
Nobody was perfect. Problem on most cards was picking WIU over SDSU. Go figure?
some of the leagues top statistical teams were on the wrong side of lopsided boat races including WIU and YSU. Those teams appear to be on the skids.
This was the week the toughest teams separated themselves from the rest. We have NDSU, USD, ISU and SDSU still standing. NDSU has SDSU, USD and ISUr left in that order. Basically a playoff run.
Coyote 70: 5-1. Congratulations to a new guy. Good first picks gopheryote: 5-1. Good recovery from last week coyote crazy 5: 5-1 steady top prognosticator usdtator: 4-2. Knows the league along with golfingyote. Both top pickers golfingyote: 4-2 nccyote: 4-2. Good first week yotes; 3-3 aldewit. 3-3. Both of us suckered for YSU and WIU
