I wonder if we see Mike Johnson play some CB for the rest of the season. He has experience at the position. I highly doubt it. He was a Safety at Iowa state....the last time he played corner was 4 seasons ago in high school. I thought he played corner at Iowa State. |

Its not like there is much choice, he may have to take reps at CB. |

As the season wears on this game has gone from a potential barn burner to a potential rought by USD. The Yotes produce yards on an almost 2:1 ratio. For every point the Panthers score they give up 1.03 in contrast to 0.42 for the Yotes. These are impressive statistics.
I see a Coyote win. I see a spread of 13. I see a mythical score of USD 35 UNI 22 providing the over/under of 57. This information is provided as a guide because most football bets from the tailgate lots to vegas are not even bets and involve these three elements.
I've been to the UNI dome several times. Its a fun place to watch a game. We stayed at the Holiday inn express and we walked to the stadium. Another time we stayed at country inn and drove over. We had a much better handle on the stadium the second time.
We walked through the tail gate lots our first visit. We were welcome by everyone. The second time we parked on the south side in a gravel lot on the hillside above the UniDome. It was fun up there too and not too bad a walk down to the Dome.
The bars were friendly around the stadium and the Pizza is good. A word of caution and maybe this is standard for all night patrolman but the beat cop came into the holiday inn bar around 11PM after the game and was wearing body armor. We talked to her and she said it was just standard issue. There was no trouble but there is a long row of eating places (famous Daves was great) and hotels and she checks in with everyone.

From Mick's story earlier this week: There was good news about backup linebacker Brian Woodward, absent for weeks with an injury that made a thin linebacker crew even thinner, who is also looking like he’s going to get back on the field. Even Nick Jensen, the team’s opening night starter at left tackle who has been gone with a knee injury since the North Dakota game, is approaching the stage where he can get back out there. |

I would not be surprised if a redshirt has their eligibility pulled this weekend to provide some depth at the CB position. At the very least, I would expect to see a few of the redshirt freshman CBs travel and in uniform just in case. |

Would this indicate that Adam Harris will be back this week? I'm guessing yes, it says no charges against Harris in the Volante article but who knows. I was told Wednesday that Harris is still suspended. Have not heard anything since that would suggest otherwise. |

I really like the fact there is ZERO energy on the UNI fanboard regarding this game. There isn't even a thread on it, and that tells me the dobbers are down in Cedar Falls. Their fan base is similar to another one I'm familiar with in that they hold themselves in higher esteem than what they are in reality. They all hate Farley, so I think we should do them a favor and kick the pi$$ out of them and further fuel the talk.
For those going, the Coyote Red Bus will be parked northwest of the Dome and providing food and some beverage. I'll bring Bloody Mary bar, and life rolls on. Let's get another win and set up next week for the title.

I think it just might kill their fans to acknowledge USD has put together a better team. Their budget is far larger, and they've piled on us as not deserving of an MVFC invite. Must sting to see USD as a top 5 team coming to the UNI Dome while their backs are against the wall.

My guess is they took it down so things wouldn't get out of hand. They have my respite ft for that. However, I would think they could still post about this game in other threads and but I haven't seen anything in those either so I would think the fan energy is probably down... and yes... we NEED to put some points up in case we need it for the playoff seeding. It would make an argument against NDSU as it seemed they had some trouble with them at home. However, be prepared for that 10% that will be a$$es at the game. |

I’ve been told UNI was the school with a level head and called the last minute meeting of the MVFC after UND went Big Sky and didn’t want to lose a second Dakota school and all voted us in except XDSU’s abstained from the vote. |
