I know that this is a bit premature for a thread on this game almost 2 weeks out but if the team wants some extra motivation and maybe some bulletin board material there is and will be plenty of it out there to motivate the Coyotes. I have been reading the Jacks board and the AGS board and most people are damn near assuming a Jacks win in Vermillion. The Jacks fans are already wanting the Coyotes to win so they can tie for the conference title after they beat us in the Dakota Dome. I have read maybe one person that actually seems nervous for that game on the rabbit board.
Obviously we don't know the result of the NDSU game yet but even with a loss in Fargo the Coyotes have shown basically no weakness on their home field and a very good argument can be made that the Coyotes are the best home team in the conference if not the country. If Streveler is healthy and mostly mobile I think it is a big mistake to assume a Jacks win. I kind of believe in karma and if the majority of non Coyote fans pick the Jacks and maybe for them to win big is when the tables could really get turned. Things just go the Coyotes way at home that don't go their way on the road.
Another interesting tid bit. Matt Zimmer before last week thought the Jacks would finish 2-1 to end the year. Well, will he stick with that prediction if the Jacks beat Illinois State this week. I tend to think he will back out of that one and decide that he really meant 3-0.
The Coyotes really need to play up the disrespect card prior to this game, whether they are disrespected or not.

The OBVIOUS response here is that those two boards are where quick-trigger, let's-not-think-this-through posters. (How's that "Fire Stig" thread coming along?)
I just don't see the Yotes losing at home to SDSU. They would have beat Ill St. if it was at home. They would have beat UNI if it was at home. Partially because I don't think it is a good match up for SDSU (the have a good O, we have a great O; they have a solid D, we have a really good D).

The Dome has been very good to us this year. I don't think that's going to end anytime soon.
