So...I know a bit about how good NDSU tailors their game days to help promote their fans game day experience. I also am pretty sure USD monitors this site. What do us fans want to see changed/added to improve game days and promote attendance?
I can think of 3 off the bat and they are not necessarily in order;
1. Get all the tailgating located together...including getting the students tailgate near the alumni. I know the U is probably worried that it may bother the alum but I know a lot of the alum and they are very cool and I think they actually would appreciate this. The alum also would help the students as I think the groups would meld a bit. 2. Get some sort of team intro coming into the stadium on par with what NDSU does. ACDC is cool but we can't copy it. How 'bout Flo Rida "My house" Nobody has used it yet as far as I know. I'll start another thread for that one! 3. I know NDSU is a Nike team so they have a lot more uniform resources. Let's get things switched up as well. When my son was recruited, they have a silver helmet I've never seen them wear yet. Let's mix things up!
Hopefully USD is listening! What suggestions do others have?

1. Challenging due to variables and control, but I️ get it.
2. Yes
3. I️ think chrome got turned into the white. Nonetheless, I️ believe the new uniforms were purchased with private dollars. If someone knows more than me, please set me straight.

Lets get "the wave" going when we need it. WI students have a variety of waves...like 17 different...they have the standard...waves that go up and down instead of sideways...and the 3rd quarter "jump around" is awesome. Can't copy the jump around but have to have something of that same tradition. It breaks the stress and resets the spirit. We'll work on the standard wave first??? I may be being presumptuous here as I'm new...just trying to hype the game up! The wave may be hard as there are gaps in the stands that the wave would be hard to jump thru and it might lose it's momentum. I'm going to try to get it going against SDSU...only on D though as it's a distraction tool for opposing teams and hype to a D.

I think music and timing can be used much more effectively. There are several songs on my short list. (I would guess many of you can come up with some other good suggestions) For coming out of the locker room to start the game I like: Sirius - Eye in the Skyor Seven Nation Armyor Hells BellsI would like to see right after the initial coin flip up to the opening kickoff: Lose Yourselfor Enter Sandmanor Crazy TrainFor the opening of the second half (from the time the players come out of the locker room up until they kick off) - pick any of the above not used For the break between the third and fourth quarters - pick any of the above you didn't use already. Just make sure you time it so that the song can actually play a little bit. The Athletic Department has been running on field promotions during this time and at times it has not allowed for the song they have been using here "Lose Yourself" to play much.

Turn all the lights down and have red lighting waving around the stadium and the the video boards gets a creative pumped up video of the team and coyotes etc. really creative with dramatic sounds and music. Then the lights pop on and entrance begins for Yotes!! KU basketball has the best pre game entrance I have ever seen and it gets the place going. If anyone is interested in seeing it you tube it. It is spectacular.

These songs are way too overused in my opinion. The wave is also lame, I will never partake in it.

I think that the upcoming improvements to the sound system and lighting will have a big impact here.
One of the advantages of the dome is the potential for truly impactful multimedia experiences, if done properly. Can't wait!
Oh, and another vote yes for Seven Nations Army...

Any guess as to how many posts in before we get a smarmy Jacks fan commenting on our lack of traditions?

There are bands and songs that transcend generations. I was driving down the road with my 15 year old when the Beastie Boys came on the radio and he asked me to turn it up. He even knew all the words to "Intergalactic". Kind of surprised me. His hockey team listens to AC/DC and Metallica in the locker room, these are teenagers. He once asked me if I had heard this group before, proceeds to pull up an NWA track. I'm like, yeah, I knew Eazy-E, way, way, way before you were born.
