Nice bounce back win for the Coyotes 68-58. The Dons didn't have the outside touch like the Bison did. How much the Coyote D had to do with it I can't say but it seems like it wasn't too bad and perhaps very good. It looks like the University has some pretty good luggage for both basketball teams that form fit the D for safe travels because it has shown up big time away from home. How many would have thought the Coyotes would get 68 and never be in any real trouble of losing the game after about 15 minutes of play. The lead was 18 at one point and Fort Wayne cut it to around 10 but never seriously threatened.

Nice win but any road win is a good win and quite simply defense travels. I don't understand the elephants mojo this past season and a half. After winning the conference title two seasons ago they seem to be getting the least of any conference team out of the amount of talent they have. Their back to back wins over the Hoosiers are a perfect illustration of this.

Happy to hear the optimistic news about Hurst. Anything is possible. Last year Flack went down and the team pulled together a nice string of victories while he was out. We are in a very similar situation, except that Hurst is our best defender and Flack was considered more of an offensive threat. By the sound of it (minus the fan behind the mic) the staff put together a lot of different combinations of guys and we got the W. Craig said something interesting in the post game- to paraphrase- you win on the road by eliminating losing. Couldn’t agree more. I thought Hags played a lot better tonight. That kid is an all around winner. And how about Fuller? He is really starting to step into a more significant role with this team.
We get the weekend off. Big test next week against ORU.

Last year I think the team improved in the long run because of Flack's injury. We're in another scenario where the team will have to learn how to play without its best defensive player. If the team adjusts and gets Carlton back then we would definitely be better off.

Barstool: Read your comments on men's basketball and Indiana State FB. Good stories. I'd say keep it up BUT my recommendation is to please stop with the four letter words. They detract from the narrative in my opinion. You do that and I'll look forward to reading more articles!! Go Yotes!

I respectfully disagree, 70. To me, one of the things I have always identified with at USD, and something that made us different from the stiffs to the north is humor. College humor. Crass, irreverent, National Lampoons-type humor. Not taking yourself too seriously humor.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the USD barstool twitter site, and now the articles. Don't change a thing. Trash-talking is inherently non-PC. Never empty, never full. Go Yotes!

I agree kiyoat and I don't like when people try to tell others how to write their narrative. If people don't like it, don't read it. Not all things are for all people.

USD Barstool is a part of a larger group called Barstool Sports. Being crass is part of the schtick. Barstool is the future of things, all of the younger adults follow Barstool, and for a lot of them it is where they get their sports.
Download the Barstool app and try it out.
