Well, I’m happy to eat my crow over accuracy questions. Dude answered the bell, and answered all the preseason prognosticators that voted USD 6th or lower based on Streveler graduating.
Simmons and the Coyotes are indeed F’Real.

usdyotes your comments aged well... Sorry Simmons peed in your Cheerios or slept with your girl or whatever. Move on now. You my friend are an idiot. Just because you kiss his ass or maybe more dont know I don't have too. He pissed his pants at KS and you make excuses. Can't wait too hear all the excuses you make the next couple games for him. The problem with you is you can't take criticism. He messed up at KS cost us the game. He messed up against UNC it didn't because they are horrible. Like I stated last week he will do good against UNC and all the bs will start how he's great although a monkey could of beat this team. Beat a real team then talk. What will be the excuse when he screws up at Weber? I am sure it will be someone else's fault. So pucker up he's waiting.

Not sure that usyotes isn't a troll or CF in disguise? At least he doesn't understand football. Northern Colorado lost to McNeese by 3 last week and McNeese was ranked 12th in the nation. So I think Northern Colorado is for "real"! KSU lost to 18th ranked Mississippi State yesterday 31-10 so they are for "real" too.

Jeez man, it's not like he went out there and shat the bed. I expect him to be better but give him some credit. He will get credit when credit is due. Sick and tired of people making excuses. You want this program to succeed then he needs to do what us expected of him. All the talk of heard on how great he is and he has a better arm then anyone I have not seen it at all this year or last. He can throw it 80 yards big deal. All the hype needs to become reality. For starters, your last few posts have what I would say is a lot of anger in them. It’s like your pissed off at the world. Your criticism of Simmons at Kansas State in my opinion was fair but harsh at the same time. There’s more than one way to say someone didn’t have a great game. I agree with you in the sense Austin missed some open receivers. I also agree with you high or low passes touched but not caught aren’t dropped passes. Where I probably disagree with you the most is the tone in which you say it. If I hadn’t watched the Kansas State game but only read your analogy, my take on it would be that he was god awful. Although I won’t say Simmons was played a good game, he wasn’t god awful. Could he have played better? No question. Did he miss passes? No question. Did he do some good things? No question. My personal take is if you don’t see that he does have a cannon for an arm with a quicker release than average, I’d just say we have two different takes on the game. In defense of Austin in Manhattan, I’d say this. He isn’t a robot. He has emotions and nerves like everyone else, and my guess is those nerves rattled him some. I get it. His first start in a new era ( without Streveler ) I’m guessing he was wound pretty tight. But if you watched the game, or were at the game, you’d also have to agree that the turning point of the game was the punt return for a TD. We win that game for my money of that didn’t happen. But it did happen, and as a result, it led to our demise. Does that make us a $hitty team? No. But it does make us somewhat vulnerable in special teams. Move forward to Northern Colorado. Yesterday in my opinion, he missed 1 throw. We were down inside the 10,of the north end zone, and he threw a pass that was way short on the left side. That’s it. He once threw a pass into a crowd in my opinion he shouldn’t have thrown but was fortunate not to be picked off, but that happens. Again, he’s not a robot. But his pass to Jackson in the south ENDZONE was unbelievable. I have only seen one pass and catch better than that in all my years of watching Coyote football. That throw, under pressure throwing off the wrong foot was amazing. He also hit targets repeatedly all day long, and he showed that he could run the ball a hell of a lot better than I thought he could when the pocket broke down or coverage warranted him running. That added a whole new dimension to his game. Wrapping up, here’s my 2 cents worth. Yesterday we saw the kind of performance we knew he was capable of. We hopefully saw a QB grow up right in front of our eyes. We are in very good hands in my opinion. Will he have a game or two where he’s subpar? If he’s human, I’m guessing he will. But if you honestly sssess and evaluate his performance yesterday, we saw Austin Simmons evolve from new QB to a team leader. My eyes watched a young man establish himself as a leader of this team. I now believe that he knows he can do this, but it’s going to come one game at a time. If we are fortunate enough to win at Weber State AND we stay relatively healthy, we have a team capable of winning 6 games in the Valley. Safely 4, likely 5, and potentially 6. I would say more than 6 other than we aren’t deep enough in certain areas that I’m comfortable enough to feel we can win games like we did yesterday where we did t play our best, made some mistakes, but still got a W. I will say we will beat one of the XDSU’s. That I am convinced of. In conclusion, for my money we saw the dawning of a new era yesterday. Austin Simmons is for real and will only get better.

Just a dude with a valid opinion that needs to learn some message board etiquette. Coyote Fan was a lot of things, but a “flamer” was not one of them. Different opinions foster good discussions, as long as you’re not an @ss about it, or very thin-skinned IMO. Arguing with civility is called debate. An academic pursuit.

What I saw in Simmons yesterday that is commendable. He had bounce in his step, he showed energy, emotion and the most important of all confidence! I was never suspect of his potential in running, arm strength, decision making etc. He displayed what “Austin” is capable of not a Strevy wanna be! There should be no question on this board about his accuracy and running ability!!! He is only going improve with each game. I love Strevy...but it is Simmons time! BTW he is not my son... my son plays defense😊

Go back in this thread, he had beef with Simmons before the KSU game. There is an axe here and it is crystal clear.

Go back in this thread, he had beef with Simmons before the KSU game. There is an axe here and it is crystal clear. I have to agree with Eddie and I also appreciate yoteforever acting as the voice of reason, but there's some never ending vendetta at work here. Why? Who knows. Quotes from a post dated December 3, 2017: "afraid to get hit", "doesn't remember plays", "can't read a defense" and "not good enough to be a starter" for example, are from the end of last season. By the way, I cleaned up the misspellings and punctuation errors. After the spring game more of the same. Now we're on what looks like a continual, season long rant. Things here don't have to be all unicorns farting rainbows, but this is getting tiresome and ridiculous. Are we really going to have to put up with two seasons of this? No player deserves that. Cue the poorly worded and written, juvenile rant complete with name calling and lots of capitalization and exclamation points in three, two, one...

As for them being ranked so was Youngstown and they look horrible but ranked so they must be good.

Afraid to get hit - KS opening drive slid a yard short of first down. Could of gotten the first before he was hit 2.Doesn't remember plays - Went the wrong way handing the ball off against KS not Henry 3. Can't read a defense - Should of been picked 2 times against KS but Just like their receivers their DBs can't catch. 4. Not good enough to be the starter- 100 percent correct at the time Streveler was. As for 2 more years of this well perform and I guess I can't say anything. By the way I think I did say he was going to do good against UNC last week did you for get to look and post that?

Hey Eddie you have been up my butt since I have been here. By the way maybe he nailed your girlfriend but don't you ever say such a stupid thing again. I have never attacked anyone personally like that and yes it pissed me off. So I will call it like I see it. I am not kissing anyone's ass to be liked. As for the spelling and punkuation you have way too much time on your hands. Can't wait to see how you defend him next week.

usdyotes your comments aged well... Sorry Simmons peed in your Cheerios or slept with your girl or whatever. Move on now. Hold on I am off base? "Sorry Simmons slept with your girl" and it's me? Cut me up because you don't like my comments fine. But don't blame me for what this guy said. I will not take that from anyone.

Playing a sensitive victim after such a weak attack pushes you further into that corner.

Playing a sensitive victim after such a weak attack pushes you further into that corner. My guess is that he is the father of another current (or recent) backup USD QB and is upset that Simmons beat out his kid... that's the only reason I can think he would be bashing Simmons in 99% of his posts, dating back to his FIRST POST on the forum.
