Just for more fun:
PREDICTED WINNER: Minnesota Vikings SPREAD: +1.5 OVER/UNDER: 43. MYTHICAL SCORE: Minnesota 21 PHI 22
It's amazing how close these pro teams are. It took a miracle last week. The outcome of this game sits on a razors edge too. The ability of the Eagles to score overpowers the Vikings stingy defense. It's not much but it means an upset if you pick the Vikings.
I'm taking the Vikings, defense win championships, but I need points. 1.5 is a nice offer but Im not sure it will do the trick. I like 5 or maybe 8 better. I'm taking the Vikes and whatever points I can get.

Las Vegas has the spread at -3 in favor of the Vikings so I am not sure where your spread is coming from. Your numbers probably are including the entire season which Wentz played two-thirds of. The Eagles are not the same team without him. If this was a regular season game I would take the Vikings without thinking twice. I wasn't impressed with either the Falcons or Eagle in the Divisional round. Since this is an opportunity for the Vikings to get to the super bowl Nothing really matters other than "Fate" at this point. Either the Vikings are meant to win or they are not. I am convinced that luck will play a factor in this game, kind of like last week when the Falcon defender had an interception bounce off his knee and into the arms of a Philly receiver. The Vikings are a cursed franchise so I would not be surprised at all if the Eagles took this game, but it cannot be ignored what gift the football gods tossed this cursed franchise on Sunday.
The Vikings lost all their aggressiveness on defense against the Saints in the second half. They were pressuring Brees just fine until at least halftime and then they laid off what was working so well and played not to lose. Zimmer is a good coach that does so many things well to make this a good team but I don't consider him a guy that is going to have much of a modern approach to his coaching style. I believe when things start going south to get more aggressive not less so. The Vikings have to get pressure on Foles and not allow the Eagles to run all over them.
I can't really make a prediction because I don't know what fate will have in store. Have the gods turned in the Vikings favor or is it just a one week mercy gift so they can do something even more nasty at a later time.

With my favorite football teams Gophers, Vikings and Coyotes I am now 0-100 in the seasons I have followed my favorite teams in seasons of being a fan vs number of times any of those teams have won a conference championship. That is why I sometimes don't give the Coyotes the benefit of the doubt when it comes to football.

It's not a Vikings trip to the playoffs without a massive disappointment.

We watched with disappointment too. I didn’t think the Vikes could win but held out hope the defense was going to slow the Eagles down. The most disappointing team of my top three is the Vikes as they continue to provide good competition for the top teams but always falling short themselves.
UND is the opposite. They rarely disappointed opposing fans with another year of way over bragging their hapless band of ill coached misfits. I’ll never forget the greatest game ever played when Sioux Falls College went to Grand Forks handing them the loss of the century. Recalling those great post game interviews with UND players and coaches as we drove around Brookings waiting for the SDSU/NDSU game is always lifting at times like this.
