Has anyone heard where Jaden Snyder from West Lyon went?
Never mind... just saw he signed with Iowa.

Anthony Turner is one that I haven't seen yet, but he is a JUCO kid, so that may be the reason.

If USD is done with siginings it appears they added another 10 players today. Some serious speed in today's signees. 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 TE, 1 ATH, 3 DBs, 1 WR, 1 RB 5 Florida, 2 Minnesota, 1 Iowa, 1 Missouri, 1 California
So overall with the two singing periods the Yotes added 29:
6 WR, 5 OL, 4 LB, 3 DE/DL, 3 DB, 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 TE, 1 Ath, 1 KP
6 Florida, 6 Iowa, 5 Missouri, 4 Minnesota, 3 Wisconsin, 2 South Dakota, 1 Kansas, 1 California, 1 Georgia by way of Iowa Western CC

Wow two running backs by the name of Canaan. What are the chances of that. Our wide receiver depth is insane but we need a stud tail back to step up and be the guy that no one can keep off the field. We aren't their yet but hopefully we get some one who is a game changer.
Without Streveler taking some of the pressure off the backs it is even more important that we find "The Guy".

I know, I shouldn't engage CF, but I can't help myself. Do you really think that using 3 backs who combined for 1630 yds on 344 carries (4.74 yds per carry) and 16 Tds, that we would be better off with a single back who is a quote "game changer"? The RPO offenses you see all over college football rely on multiple RBs able to come in and give fresh legs to the offence. Reality is finding that "Game Changer" is awful tough and unlikely at the FCS level. We ended up 3rd in the MVFC in rushing and yes Streveler was a big part of that, but I assume our next QB will also be asked to gain yards rushing as well. Glad to see we got some additional depth going forward at the position and I am sure that they will add competition as well, but I would assume we'll see more of the same multiple RBs next year.

I think two things are important in the Run game - first is continuing to upgrade speed. Backs that can turn a nice gain into a touchdown. Easier said than done finding those. I think USD has some solid RBs on the roster now and the addition they made in recruiting will make that group even deeper. The other part is the continued development of the OL. They took a step forward in being more physical this year but still have a ways to go to be a top MVFC OL. Another year of great weight training and further development should yield another big improvement this coming season. I am convinced that in order for USD to take the next step -the defense is where we need to see improvement. To win it all (and the MVFC) the team needs to have a physical and stingy defense. USD improved last year in defense, but needs another huge step forward this coming season. There is no reason USD can not put a defense on the field equal to or better than Illinois St. When we see that married up with the production I believe we will continue to see on offense with the system USD runs and players they have on that side of the ball, the team will be contenders to win it all. Any news on the D Coordinator position or OL Coach?

I would rather have a game changer than three average backs any day because a game changer is a commodity and good backs are a dime a dozen. NDSU has at minimum 2 backs that are better than any back USD has. Henry was a good back with a fumbling problem and Fredrick is mediocre. The good news is that often a stud back can step in right away and be an impack as a freshman. When the Yotes had Logan or White no body was talking about spreading the carries. I like system where the top dog get two thirds the carries and everyone else shares the rest.

Wondering if Mason Lorber is a grey shirt. His Twitter bio says he is a USD student athlete. Believe Greenshaw the juco Wr from fall class is grey shirt this semester as well.

Couldn’t agree more ybfan. I love our depth at RB currently and adding more talented young men is a huge plus. I also like the mix of style of our runners with Henry/Fredrick speed and Klett our bruising back. I know Strevler carried our offense, but remember that 2 of these guys were freshmen and learning the ropes of running against D1 defenses. Another year of getting stronger and the game experience of last year is critical as we need to spread the offensive production this season.
