I doubt having someone from Tea on the roster, no matter how good, would really impact attendance.

Got a chance to watch Noah Friedel play this weekend as Tea whipped the #1 team in AA SF Lincoln. He is really good. I can't believe USD didn't think he could play here. Having him would help (not eliminate) two problems that we have. Lack of fans at the game and lack of points being scored. And actually the PG, Justin Hohn, who is going DI at UC Irvine I think, would be able to play for us as well. He's lightning quick, very athletic. I would love to see both of those guys in red. While I know that Noah has already signed with Wright State, it wouldn't surprise me to see him in a Coyote uniform at some point for various reasons that I will not expound upon. He would most definitely help with interest in the program from a Sioux Falls metro standpoint. Plus, the kids can just flat out play.

Noah Friedel would attract fans through out the eastern half of the state. The Friedel name is well known, from back in the day's when Noah's father and uncles played for the Armour Packers. Not only would he generate more local interest, but you get a couple of the top in-state players to USD and it makes it easier to recruit the top in-state players in future years. Same would go for getting the top players out of NW Iowa and NE Nebraska

Not sure if this should be in the 2019 thread, but whatever. Potential transfer. Also a recent article about him. "He will have three years of eligibility remaining and would have to redshirt next season if he opts to play at the Division I level." "He averaged 16.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in 28 contest. He also scored in double figures in 26 of the Lopers’ 28 games and notched four double-doubles this season...." Here's an old recruiting site with his measurables. Listed at shooting guard, 6' 4" 210 lbs. 6' 5" wingspan, 33" vertical.

I was curious to see his shooting efficiency, since that has been an Achilles's heel of sorts this year: Here is his Loper's Roster bio. He shot 46% / 36% / 74% this season. Keep in mind that he played as a forward this year, but he still was attempting 93 arc shots (3.3 a game)

He was one of the top high school athletes in Nebraska two years ago in both football and basketball and made the OWH all- Nebraska Super State or what ever they call it in both. That doesn't happen too often. My understanding was that he was leaning more towards football coming out of high school, though I could be wrong on that. I do know he had D1 offers in both. He'd have to sit a year, but then would fit right in because we'll lose heavily on the perimeter positions after next season.

Am I selling him short? Is he athletic enough to guard the 2 position in the Summit League?

Power recently stated he was a "pocket passer" in HS, where Koster was more of a dual-threat IMO. Also the 33" vertical. He liked to dunk a lot in HS based on the highlight vids. Not sure I've ever seen that from Power. Here's a recruiting report on Koster.

Does anyone know, when we bring in transfers for visits like the Koster kid, do the coaches put him through a workout? Do they have him scrimmage with the team? Same for football... do we have football transfers go through any kind of a workout?
Or do the coaches strictly go off game film, stats, and weightroom measurables?

Not trying to sell small school kids short because there have obviously been some great ones, but still tougher competition game to game. He was UNK's leading scorer as a freshman; I think that says something. Good to see you back Cuz; it's been awhile.

I still don't understand why they don't bring in NSIC Freshman of the year AJ Plitzuweit
