Good luck to all our FCS players in this year's draft! IMHO, so many get overlooked and are very deserving to get that call. You boys have the heart of winners and will tear it up at the next level!

NFL teams don't screw around...there's too much money at stake. Good luck Strev... remember... most teams don't pick players based on newspapers or radio shows... they find those special players. I'm pulling for you man!!!

No NFL apparently for Strev. Apparently too small and not enough of a body of work. I guess there are just too many quality guys in the league for them to give him a shot. Count me as a future nfl boycotter. Very disappointing.

I'm really surprised that Brett Taylor, the linebacker from Western Illinois, hasn't been snatched up by anyone yet. He was just extremely good.

It's comical that Goeddert was drafted by the Eagles. If he flames out will people accuse Wentz of sabotaging him?

It gets to a point in the draft that you are better off not being drafted and signing as a free agent instead since you have your choice of teams and you can go somewhere where you will fill a need/be a better fit.

Did anyone see him as a QB? I know he has lots of records, but I always felt his throwing just wasn’t good enough. I thought his only option of making it was to move to a different position.

I knew he wouldn't get drafted, but I figured someone would take a chance on him for a training camp invite. He was a lot better passer his senior year than his junior year I thought. He threw for a lot of yards. It's not like he was Tommy Frazier back there, I thought he was a pretty good passer. With the pro day that he had I thought he would get an invite some where. Hopefully he can make a CFL team and rip it up and maybe get a chance down the road. It's too bad there isn't a bunch of overseas professional leagues like there are for basketball for the ones that don't make the NFL.

CFL was always going to be the near certain destination, but I thought for sure he would get to an NFL training camp. We've had so many guys do it that it seemed inevitable for him.

I'm not certain that his game isn't tailor made for the wide open style of ball that's played in the CFL. If Strev ends up playing on the Blue Bombers, I'd sure watch their games next season. There've been plenty of quarterbacks who got started professionally in Canada and then later had successful careers in the NFL too. Besides, wouldn't it be fiscally smart for Winnipeg to want to attract fans from the lucrative Vermillion market?

I completely agree with everybody's comments and can only add that all the FA signings aren't done yet so good luck still!

I was hoping but not surprised that Strevy hasn't gotten an NFL shot. The majority of QB's in the NFL are pro-style QB's.....sit in the pocket, read the offense by scanning 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th option and then having an exceptionally strong arm. Strevy was more of a running threat than throwing and he he could scan to the second option on a consistent basis. Strevy had the will and heart of a LION which helped him supersede is actual toe to toe talent compared to other NFL QB 2018 draft picks or free agent signers. I think he has an opportunity to be a success in the CFL .... you all remember Doug Flutie??? Maybe Strevy will follow the same road and get his shot in the NFL at some point. ALL in all whatever happens Strevy has a double masters, is incredibly smart with high EQ as well......he is going to be a success regardless of what field he is in or playing on. I will be watching wherever he is at!

I'm older so some of you don't remember Warren Moon but he was very good in the CFL then moved to the NFL and was great so it certainly happens.

I don't think anyone thought Strev would get drafted but when I look at the other FA signings and rookie camp tryout QB's, there is NO way some of those guys are better than him. It just does not make sense. What I do know is if he ends up in the CFL, just like when he came to USD, he will work his ass off, give 1000% and will be a fan, coach, media, and team favorite.
