Nothing positive to say about that one. I'm an O-line guy and that was honestly sickening. They were rushing 3 or 4 guys and every one of them got home. It looked like they were setting up the screen every time Simmons dropped back. Austin didn't play his best game but the kid was running for his life all night. If I was their d coordinator I would have had the blitz on every single snap.
Defensively. I mean I guess they kept them out of the end zone for the most part.
I just can't get over the offense. I refuse to believe our guys couldn't block that defensive front. I don't know if it was the travel or the elements or the night game, but they absolutely looked like they have never played together.

I was busy tonight and didn't catch much of this one, but it seemed like Simmons was getting swarmed on every play and any run was a futile effort.
Final box score has us at 28 rushing yards. You can not win a game with 28 rushing yards.

Frederick did play. Got hurt some when blinded sided on a tackle by a Coyote. Came in later and generally played ok at CB.

Their D had EIGHT SACKS and 3 turnovers. We had 2 sacks and WS never turned the ball over.

Mark me down Golf. I believe we are a better team than this and our numbers up until this point prove that. But a loss is a loss, just like it was against Kstate. We can’t accept complacency if we want to be a program instead of a team. If we want to hope for a win but expect a loss why are we here ?

Someone posted before start a younger qb so they get experience and still have more than 1 year to lead this team. Simmons is not as good as people think. I can tell you this any qb that is on this year's roster could of been 1-2 after 3 games. So we make excuses for the qb this year because its his first year then next year maybe make playoffs maybe not and the cycle starts over again. I can guarantee you this he is not better than any of the qbs on the roster. Its all the bs hype about his arm. He did nothing at ks and nothing tonight. But of course excuses excuses excuses. The ol played like crap but they didn't throw the balls in the ground or behind the receivers. |

So I did some digging and found that he registered in July 2016 and he has been dumping on Simmons since his very first post. So why would a defensive player's dad be ragging on the same QB for 2 years? I won't name names, but we have a defensive player who was moved from QB to linebacker around the time he registered and started posting. Seems to me that he is that kid's father and he is STILL upset that his kid was moved instead of Simmons. I could be wrong, but it sure seems like more than just a coincidence. |

That was going to be my guess. This is really sad that a players dad has to get on here and talk like this. Come on man! This isn’t high school anymore. I wonder if his son knows he is on here spewing this crap. If he does know, I bet he is pretty embarrassed. Anyway, on to the game. That was a very disappointing loss. Not even the loss so much, but just how we played. What the hell happened to our OL? The first two games they were pretty damn good. Simmons had no chance back there to do anything. Our OL not only couldn’t block the DL, but it looked like they hadn’t seen a blitz before. Our RBs missed picking up blitzes as well. Lastly, our discipline has got to get better. Teams see the previous games on tape and see how many unsportsmanlike penalties we have, so they really go after us and try to get us to lose it so we get more penalties against us. We need to keep our composure no matter what they are doing to provoke us. |
