I hope I'm wrong but I think this will be a pretty tough/close game. If the Bears can shut down our running game and make us one dimensional (which they will definitely try to do) we can struggle. Their special teams play and running attack are in their favor, which can also make enough of a difference to pull out a win. On the other hand, our defense could stymie the Bears if they play the way they are capable.
Two factors could make a difference. One is team discipline and the other is the crowd. Here's hoping the crowd is rowdy, energetic, and LOUD! Not just on third down, but on the all-important first down as well.
I think the Yotes will find a way to pull this out and boost us to a win against UNI the following week. I'll be there to lend my voice/ support for that game. Going 2-0 in the dome the next two weeks is not something to hope for; it is something to expect if the Dome is properly defended.

I am thoroughly convinced this league is so balanced that anybody can beat anybody on any given Saturday. Missouri State is a much improved team, no doubt about it. I think we have the potential to beat anyone but also can lay an egg and get beat as well. We can be a top tier team, but in order to be classified that way we need to bring it every week.
The crowd in the Dome when they are loud is like fuel for the Coyotes. Any indoor facility has that potential. We need to be racious. We must defend the Dome and get 2-3 wins on the road. We got one last Saturday and didn’t play well. That’s the good news/bad news scenario. The good news is we are good enough to beat teams on talent. The bad news is we really haven’t played well the past 2 games. Weber was awful. The first half in Carbondale was more of the same. However the 2nd half we were the YOTES of old.
The crowd could be the influencing factor Saturday. I’m pumped.

Haven’t found a fan forum for Missouri State. Anyone else find one? I enjoy reading the fan posts from our weekly opponents. The only one I found had a membership fee to join. That’s why there’s limited conversation. Someone may create one soon if they continue winning |

My daughter and son-in-law can't make it on Saturday so two of my tickets have opened up. Section E, Row 1, seats 5 and 6. If anyone is interested pm me. I really don't want to see them unoccupied.

Not to over-simplify things, but if we are able to pick up blitzes and stunts by their D, we win. If we repeat Weber and the 1st half if SIU, it will be a dogfight.

Happy DDAYS weekend coyote nation. Woke up, slammed a couple Miller Lites Stone Cold Steve Austin style and sang Fight South Dakota out on the deck this morning. *wakes up from daydream and realizes I'm at my desk at work*
Couldn't be more excited to finally get to a game. Wife's cousin got married the same day as the UNC game....
Looks to be a good matchup on paper, but I'm taking the Yotes by 10 but I think the game will feel more lopsided in favor of the coyotes than the final score indicates. I think this MSU team is getting more love than they probably deserve. Plus we really have no idea how good our Coyotes are to this point. We have yet to put together a whole game. The closest thing was KSU. As bad as we played last week, we still managed to get a conference win on the road and that's tough to do in the MVFC regardless of the opponent. Plus the DDAYS factor. Missouri State is in for a bad day.
