Then I damn well hope the coaches know who the knuckleheads are and cut them no matter who they are as soon as is legal and bench them immediately. Actually, what Austin needs is for a few others to support him. If there are cancers on the team it is up to the rest of the players who are there to be successful to minimize them, put them on an island, and eventually get them to shape up or ship out. |

Yes 53...that’s correct. It MUST come from the players themselves at this point in the season. It won’t be affective coming from coaches. As easmus stated, once the coaches identify ( with assistance from the players ) then eradicate the cancer. It has to be done. Honestly I think it’s the only way to be done. It’s acts like this that start the changing of a culture. I thought it had started but if we have a problem with guys that don’t play much being pouters and dragging everyone down, then we aren’t as far along as I thought. But my money is we will be. There will be a focus on this aspect of the team starting yesterday.

* Two 8-0 teams NDSU has both in 2013 and 2018
* Eight teams have gone 7-1 - NDSU has 5 of those, ILL St has 2, and SDSU has 1
* Five teams have gone 0-8 - USD has 2, IND St has 2, and MO St has 1
* USD's best MVFC record was 4-4 in 2017 (USD is the only MVFC team not to have a winning MVFC record one of the years)
* YSU has been the middle point in the MVFC over the past 7 years. Above them UNI was 10 games above .500 and directly below them WIU was 10 games below .500
