Surprised to see the "hate" towards UNI. My experience with their fan base has been nothing but good, even at their place. I may be a little biased as I grew up in Iowa and almost went to UNI, but decided on USD the night before signing date and have never regretted the decision.
I do, however, have a soft spot in my heart for UNI as their coach played a pivotable role in USD landing in the Missouri Valley Football Conference when the Big Sky was all but a done deal.
The rivalry has been a good one. UNI is historically a very talented team (just look at all their guys in the NFL). Their D-Line is typically one of the most athletic in the league and can be tough to handle. Overall, they play hard and are well coached. I see a game this week similar to the MSU game. We are going to have to play mistake free football and not leave points on the field like we did last week. Also, I see them attempting to bring a lot of pressure from various blitz packages. We didn't see that much from MSU, but the Weber and SUI games proved our vulnerability to such schemes. Our O-Line seemed better last week, but needs to continue that improvement.
On a side note, it was great to see Thull for the first time last week. He provided a nice change-up to Klett.

Does anyone know how to find UNI’s depth chart 2018?

Just went over to PantherNation for a few laughs that I needed this morning. They don't even have a thread about this game yet. Just stuff about how great they used to be and how they have to go 5 - 1 the rest of the season. I got the drift that they are not even remotely worried about losing this game Saturday night. When the Yotes put it all together for "Black Out" night I hope the home crowd is relaxing about mid way through the third quarter and the few uni fans there are headed for the parking lot. Make up for the GIFT they got last season in the same way we repayed UND last year. I detest their arrogance and will love it when they don't even make the playoffs. Now come on Yotes, don't let any of us down.
Go Coyotes !! Forever, as usual.

All they've got is the past and that's where the fans on that board live. Their tears are precisely why I love beating them.

All they've got is the past and that's where the fans on that board live. Their tears are precisely why I love beating them. It's not just UNI message board people. Years ago, after we had just moved up to D1 and were playing in the GWFC, we had a home game and we were out tailgating south of where the SCSC now is, where student tailgate is this year, the old Rose Court days if you remember that. So we're tailgating and one of the guys that was there was a UNI fan (grad I think, might even been a former player) and all he did was run his mouth about how great UNI is and how USD shouldn't even be D1, etc., etc. Got to the point where I asked him what the heck he was even doing at our tailgate, should be aware of his environment, and to shut the F up. UNI fans are like that in real life. They are like the kid that gets picked on by their big brothers so they go and try to find somebody else to pick on. Truth is it is all based on jealousy. People in Iowa couldn't give a crap about UNI. Most Iowa and ISU people would be okay with them shutting down their athletic dept, possibly even the school, because they see them as a waste of the state's resources. They don't get love from their state and then get real jealous when they see the Dakota schools get so much support in our respective states. Jealous because we matter in our states and they don't in theirs. Now add in the fact that we have all come in and taken over a conference they once ruled and it drives them crazy.

Someone had to be a strong proponent for USD for us to leave the Big Sky invitation on the table about an hour before we were to become official members.

That was SDSU and probably NDSU as if we went to the BSC the Summit collapses eventually and they knew it.

I’ve been told UNI was the school that called the emergency meeting of the MVFC after UND announced they were going Big Sky as they didn’t think it was wise to let another Dakota school go BSC. It was either here or an argus chat where people have disputed that. But the guy who told me that would know and I’ve no reason not to believe him.

Could you imagine being in the Big Sky? Yikes.

Well, that's entirely possible. I still say if we went to the BSC that, by now, NDSU and SDSU would be there too. It would have really hurt the Summit, probably killed it, and it would have hurt the MVFC. Wise of UNI to recognize that.

Big week this week and our thread is drifting into no mans land & the UNI board doesn't realize they play this week and all of them are about to jump off a cliff!
Has anyone seen much of UNI play? They are talking that they might have 2 OL out for the game.

UNI is UNI, they'll come in ready to play. I expect another hard fought Valley game.
