Wine in the morning, beer in the evening.
1. White meat or dark meat? White, if the breast is done right. Dark is good too. Who doesn't love a big ass turkey leg?
2. Cranberry relish or can-o-gelatin? Not a fan of it in general.
3. What is acceptable to put gravy on? EVERYTHING!
4. Black olives on fingers just for kids? We can all enjoy that.
5. Any non-traditional food traditions in your family? Not really.
6. Best Pie? For Thanksgiving you have to have a pumpkin or sweet potato pie. Apple is the best overall pie and is also acceptable on Thanksgiving.

Potatoes and dressing 4. No need for black olives to make an appearance on Thanksgiving 5. Corn meal mush buns. My mom's recipe thankfully carried on by my sister. Only allowed to make for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 6. Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin

For #5 we make a corn souffle dish called Tennessee Triple Corn. I guess that may be considered non-traditional.
Recipe was learned during the great "left behind" Thanksgiving day parties we had in Vermillion for all those that had no where to go on Thanksgiving about 10 years ago. Turducken, fried turkeys, all the sides, kegs of beer in the keg-o-rator. Man, those were some fun times. Thanks Jesse!

It's all about the turkey covered in gravy. Nothing else matters. Pumpkin pie is gross.

I have grown very fond of a liquid Thanksgiving. Bloody Mary's were a good addition to the festivities.
