But Bob didn’t run a hurry up until he got to the MVFC. I’m guessing he could switch back to what he did at Duluth.

It will be interesting to see how many assistants Klieman takes with him after Friday's game. I can understand why all the assistants didn't follow Bohl to Wyoming. Will Kansas State be a bigger draw than Wyoming? Likely. Would it be smarter for assistants to stay in the Fargo system? I don't know. KSU, despite being Power-5 is a special kind of disadvantaged. I doubt he waits till after the championship game to get his staff in place.

I thought one of the reasons the North Texas guy turned it down or wasn't interested was because he was going to have to keep most of the assistants, including Snyder's kid, who were already there and under multiyear contracts. KState didn't want to buy out all of those contracts.

KState didn't want to buy out all of those contracts. More like asinine. Bringing in a NDSU guy means you want that culture, not just the HC. Hard to change a culture with all the same guys. I'd guess this has more to do with Snyder's meddling and being a control freak than the cost of contracts. This makes me a lot less optimistic about the hire. Good luck, Chris. Micro-managing owners have a long, successful history in sports, like Al Davis's Raiders, Jerry Jones's Cowboys, etc.

I see that Bradley and Moose are no longer listed on the coaches page on the website. Anyone have any insight on the replacements?

I heard Nielson wants to go to the 3-4 defense.

I liked Moose. I think we all knew some changes would be made. Coaches understand this is the life they have chosen, it's not always easy, especially on their families. I wish all of the coaches have future success. It's not an easy job.

This article definitely sounds like we’re going all in on the 3-4. Quite possible that is the reason for the changes in staff.

I heard Nielson wants to go to the 3-4 defense. This is correct. Last year Nielson wanted to run more 3-4 and they would practice it during the week. Moose and Bradley were never fans of it and then would take it out of the weekly game plan.

There is information here that you cant' find elsewhere, or scoops prior to news releases. Good stuff. You can't have a poor NT to run a 3-4. So who fits that description on our roster now? * and as a follow-up, do we have enough LBs, or any hybrid DE-OLB types?

Hopefully Schultz can be back manning NT and fill in from there.

A 3-4 defense requires 3 beasts up front and a good couple subs for rotating. My concern is a 3-4 defense requires excellent LB play which objectively was inconsistent last year. Also, what do you do with Greenfield and Kramer, two good defensive ends? Maybe they transition to OLB? Lot of questions for a 3-4 transition.
