Guess when you get a new 5 year contract you don't need to worry about the long term health of your senior QB

After first two hits never really saw him examined by a trainer which seems very careless. Concussions are a big deal so it seems there should have been more concern there...

Both SDSU and NDSU would lay the big 12 to waste. OK is no better than those 2 teams and could lose on any given Saturday. USD is building to beat the state colleges at football. In so doing they are really building a team to compete in the Big 12. Next years OK game is going to be a great measuring stick for the players themselves and the team.

Iowa State cut through SDSU like a hot knife through butter before that game was cancelled. I predict ISU would have taken the Jacks to the woodshed. ISU is a middle of the pack Big 12 team. P5 football is another level. Let's not get too crazy here.

Aldewitti have always enjoyed your contributions and whatever gameday spread formula you came up with and analysis, but to say either NDSU or SDSU is on the same playing field of Oklahoma is not even close to being right. Oklahoma’s offense would obliterate the Jacks and score a ton on the Bison. Neither offense could generate much either. An Oklahoma / SDSU matchup would be something like 54-10. Against NDSU maybe something like 51-16. There are a couple bottom feeders maybe they could beat or give a game, but to say they’d lay waste is out of touch in my opinion.
Unless Lincoln Riley has a soft spot, the Coyotes will getters thumped hard in Norman, especially if it’s the same team we saw play the last half of the year. Listen, I love the Coyotes and I love the exposure this game brings, but they are on a totally different planet than we are when it comes to football. My hope is the check is good ( and big ) and we don’t get put into a MASH unit. Run the ball as best as we can, run the clock, and get the hell out of there.

Sagarin rankings this morning are listed to the right on the left is the conference finish. As you can see from comparing the rankings there are pleanty of examples of lower ranking Sagarin teams beating higher ranked teams:
1 Ok. 6 4 West Virginia 12 0 NDSU 17 2 Texas 23 9 OK State 35 3 Iowa State 42 5 TCU 43 8 Texas Tech 45 7 KSU 52 0 SDSU 58 6 Baylor. 70 10 Kansas 94 USD 138
USD was playing at the KSU level in the first half of the season, fading a bit week by week. A win at KSU would have changed the season.
Football is not won in 5 minutes. It takes 60. I can show you game after game where the team that scored first loses. In fact Iowa State scored first on NDSU and lost. Don’t forget Iowa State 27 Drake 24 on Dec 1 (Drake scored first on a 40 sec drive). Drake is sitting at 210 in the Sagarin.
The rankings favor the Big 12 over the MVFC. It’s difficult to get ranked that high when you don’t play teams ranked that high. Just moving USD to the B12 would improve their Sagarin ranking to the Kansas range. Conversely any of the B12 teams playing in the MVFC would find themselves hitting a ceiling like NDSU and SDSU.
