What is it with SDSU, don't they have any tradition up their anymore. What is it with the team wearing black or yellow almost every game when they are the road team. That was starting to happen even before they left D2.
How would you like it if the Coyotes barely ever wore red? I think it would suck. Granted I do like a black third jersey but not as the primary road uni like they have been leaning towards in Brookings.
We all know that red and white is much better than black combined with yellow with the occasional blue that might show up from time to time.

I could care less what color uni's anyone wears. It doesnt matter unless you are superstitious

while they are at it change the logo back to the old one as well. that new bunny looks horrible well having a bunny as a mascot already puts one at a significant disadvantage. I can't blame the marketing people for not being able to make a nice looking mascot, I know I couldn't.

I never understood their interlocking SD. SD is for South Dakota, as in University of South Dakota. They need to mix in an SU or State somewhere in that logo. Makes no sense.

Maybe next year SDSU can show up in a pink uni with yellow trim. that would be a little closer to the colors that I think of when I see a bunny rabbit.

I rather like the bunny with an attitude that we have now. I do wish we could have kept the Bugs Bunny version for the little kids, kind of like I liked the Wiley Coyote version of Charlie back in the day. I guess we both had to give in to Warner Brothers, or at least the fear that Warner Brothers would disapprove of us using their characters for mascots.
As for the black, our high school has black as one of its "colors". I have been noticing for years that other high schools who have colors such as red and white are using black either for their uniforms or their warm ups. I'm not sure where that started.

UND is another school that likes to wear black. Their school colors actually are pink and green. I can see why they choose to wear black/green instead. I think it would be sweet if they showed up in black/pink uni's with hot pink shoes.

Show up to the women's game for Breast Cancer awareness and you'll see the pink jerseys.

I cannot say how many times the Jackrabbits wore the black uniforms but I'm told that it was very few times...most of the time we wear the blue for traveling. The first time I saw the black uniforms was when we took apart Iowa near the start of the season. Iowa fans commented on how good the team looked--in terms of player ability as well as the uniforms.
I know we wore the black at NDSU a few weeks ago (after that game, I think I would have burned the uniforms)!
The current Jackrabbit logos have given a tremendous boost to sales of Jackrabbit gear and that means more money in the bank. The logos have gotten a lot of recognition and praise in the industry that dreams up such logos for sports teams. I think Jackrabbit fans overwhelmingly love the current logos.

I don't mind the new SDSU logos. This conversation reminds me of how truly bush league it was when SDSU and USD were both basically appropriating copyrighted artwork i.e. Bugs Bunny and Wiley E. Coyote.
