1 point lead with the ball and coming out of a timeout with about 35 seconds left in overtime. What does state do? Quickly force a mid-range jumper that misses and NDSU easily walks away with a win. State definitely earned that loss.

State definitely earned that loss. State was down 2 with 2 seconds to go but key missed his 3rd and 4th free throws in a row. He intentionally missed the last one but he didn't even draw iron so the ball was dead. His other missed FTs were front ends of a 1 and 1 (I think). Freidel led State with 23. I would have liked to see NDSU get that 2 seed, I guess they still could but that's unlikely. I'm assuming Wilson will be full strength for SLT.

I thought it was ridiculous that he event got those free throws. Ball don't lie.

So Wednesday's mens game scores:
NDSU Win (vs SDSU) 71-69 OT ORU Win (vs WIU) 113-70
The men's regular season title, 1-seed and NIT auto-bid will be on the line in Saturday's 4 PM Omaha @ NDSU game.
ORU destroyed WIU. Wow. They are a dangerous team when things are clicking for them.
WIU and Denver are now officially tied at 2-13, and their finale on 2PM Saturday is for all the marbles.... Well, however many marbles a March trip to Sioux Falls is worth. Would love to see WIU play SDSU in the 1v8 game again. Would possibly give them some pause. Or, if Denver is actually playing better, put them in there.

Wednesday's Women's games:
Denver W vs PFW 85-67 SDSU W vs NDSU 85-58 ORU W vs WIU ---71-60 UND W vs Omaha 71-67
Big win for ORU, but because Denver beat PFW, they can no longer get a 3-seed because they would lose the tie with Denver. I would think that is a preferred seed this year. ORU will be 4 or 5, so we could meet them in the semifinals. Oh, bother. (WTP reference)(that acronym is not what you think)
WIU can still lock the 3-seed up with a win over Denver, but Denver is on a tear lately.
Denver would win a three-way tie for third, due to the even W/L H2H, and their win over SDSU. It all comes down to the WIU @ Denver game at 4:30PM Saturday. No TV because it's Denver.
NDSU and UND are now tied for the 6-seed at 6-9. The Bison are more likely to get the 6-seed because they play Omaha at home, vs UND going into Vermillion. That would tie Maren Walseth's best seed in the SLT in her first year five years ago.
UND needs to fire their coach, or he is going to run that program into the ground, killing fan interest. They don't want to go through what NDSU has over the last decade. Brewster is their version of Dehoff. They had better not waste time and make a bad hire the next time.
