The live mic conversation about having to use a Duffy highlight in the second half because Ohio State didn't have any has been pretty funny to listen to.

Maybe we can find a good public university in Ohio to schedule instead of just some random Ohio State University. I'd suggest Ohio, but they're also an Ohio state university.

Not sure if you could tell from the stream but Yote fans outnumbered tOSU by at least 5 to 1 and we were loud and proud!! Great job by the Lady Yotes and they solved the trap after half, played great D and hit some timely 3s!!
Go Yotes!!!

Great win, but that Buckeye team couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at times in that game. Woof. As cityleague has said before, it's a good thing when you don't play your best and still find a way to.... Blow out a Power 5 program.

I don't mean to sound dismissive. That was a solid win. It's just that There was a long stretch in the middle of the game where literally nobody scored a point. And it wasn't just good defense. It was both teams taking bad shots and missing good ones. We still haven't seen a complete game from this group.
When we do, look out.

Northern Illinois at 3:15 today. NIU comes in at 3-3 on the year and beat Tennessee Tech 82-74 yesterday. Looking down their schedule I can't help but notice every game has been very close (6 points or less before yesterday's 8-point win), including a 5 point loss at a good looking Purdue team. On the other hand, they needed overtime to beat 0-6 NDSU in Fargo.

Watched the 2nd half of their game with TN Tech yesterday. I think they're better than tOSU. They always want to drive the basket first or work the ball in. They shoot the 3 reluctantly. Will take a solid game by the Coyotes to come away with a win. Go Yotes!!!

Up 52-23 at half (Lamb half court shot at the buzzer didn't count). Excited to see how the 2nd five plays when they get some quality minutes in the second half.

With the way we're shooting you'd have to think that maybe NIU would come out of that zone after awhile.

Yotes up 83-40 with 4:00 left. I expected a win but wow, at least our bench can get some quality minutes and give the starting 5 a well earned rest.
Final: Yotes 91-48

How about Macy Guebert coming in off the bench late. Very impressed with her poise and basketball skills.

How about Macy Guebert coming in off the bench late. Very impressed with her poise and basketball skills. Feels good to hear "another three for Guebert" when it's not against the Yotes. Would have been even better if they could pronounce it correctly. Also very impressed with Jeniah's defense and post play. Both are keepers.

I was a little surprised Dawn did not red shirt Macy with our guard depth this year.

I was a little surprised Dawn did not red shirt Macy with our guard depth this year. I wondered that too, especially since we are giving Duffy/Arens/Lamb/McKeever for 35 minutes a game. Just not many minutes available. It also sounds like Hempe will play once her knee is cleared. Is is possible we have zero redshirts this year? However, Coach P did say after NIU that the 6 who played the second half ran the offense better than the first 5 have all year, so maybe minutes will spread out more once conference play starts (and competition drops) giving the first 5 fresher legs for post season?
