We win and we host! I don't know much of anything about volleyball, but it seemed we just got more dominant the longer we played. The 'Yotes were running them off the court at the end.

I couldn’t be there tonight. How was the crowd? Size and noise?

So the admin steps up, the fans show up, and the team throws down.

So the admin steps up, the fans show up, and the team throws down. Synergy. David Herbster and company deserve a lot of kudos and credit for making this and other programs successful at USD. Think about this for just a moment: So either prior to the game or during the game, while the rest of us are cheering on the ladies, DH is behind the scenes working hard to do whatever he could to bring this championship game to Vermillion on Tuesday. I can only fathom how much work it took with the administration and NIVC personnel to make this whole thing a reality even before we knew we were going to be playing in the finals. Equally impressive to me is the fact that shortly after the win last night, an abbreviated story was already posted on goyotes.com with a link in place to purchase Tuesday's tickets! So not only was Herbster and the administration busy and planning ahead for a game that may not take place, the ticket office had already queued up tickets to capture those people like me into buying tickets within 90 minutes of their victory. In years past, we may have had to wait until the ticket office opened on Monday morning, which by then planning on making the game on Tuesday evening gets tossed right in there with work commitments, holiday planning, etc. I for one got "caught" in the moment and immediately purchased my seats for Tuesday and will plan the rest of my schedule around that. Great job to all who are making this possible!

The most recent USD "Yote Cast" podcast has a very fascinating interview with DH where he talks about the bidding and prep process for the NIVC and similar tournaments. He reveals a lot about what goes on behind the scenes. Every time I hear him speak, I gain confidence in our leadership. In general, the Yote Cast podcast is a must listen for all Coyote fans.
