Wait a minute, the officials are coming over to check the monitor to see if that was a foul...tick tick, tick tock...and now we have a timeout on the floor...
That does not help pace of play. The game refused to end.

I couldn't tune in to the game but based on the ESPN app it seemed like it was a battle. At the end of the game though they managed to get the W and that's not always an easy thing to do on the road. They're starting to get things going again and I think we will do fine the rest of the way. My main area of concern is still bench points, the SLT may be a tall task for our starting 5 if they have to put up 80+ 3 days in a row.
On a side note, I saw some of the MBB tweets on twitter and Denver has a really cool court design. Maybe Mt Rushmore or the outline of the state on the court in the SCSC next time they refinish it? It only makes sense since We Are South Dakota!

I think it would require more than just painting, though. Many custom courts have that cool "watermark" affect because it is literally a different color of hardwood. Maybe it is a stain below the polyurethane finish? Would require sanding and refinishing, if that's the case. Here are a couple of other examples:

I could see doing a "prairie grass" pattern along one side, and a howling coyote silhouette. I think Mt Rushmore would be kinda corny, and not relate specifically to USD. kinda like this: maybe the prairie grass more defined, like this: ...and an "old main" or whatever.

I like where this is going and agree that Mt. Rushmore is overdone.

The current court isn't anything wild, but I think it's very well done. Just a nice lighter shade of wood with the big ol paw in the middle. Not a fan of those busy court designs. We don't have anything recognizable enough to put out there anyways in my opinion.

I like our current court design except for the new 3 point line for men this year. Hopefully the women's line moves out to the same length as the men's next year and all the area inside the three point line can once again be a darker shade of wood.
