Now what the hell are we supposed to do without being able to follow sports? I selfishly was looking forward to the MBB tourney and the MLB season as well.

For this group of seniors this is a bitter pill to swallow. Hopefully the others will get their chance next season and for seasons to come. For this fan I'm pretty cool with their last game being the one they had! It was more thrilling to witness than any game against Western Kentucky (for example). Who knows, maybe the NCAA will try and make it up to the schools who made it in by granting an extra year of eligibility for the seniors? A guy can dream right? Maybe they will make it up to the seniors by making up the tournament in May (or June)? You never know.

Then you're into the WNBA season, which is going to cause its own set of headaches with draftees and free agents, etc. Just a cluster all the way around.

Here's to next season (yeah, I'll stop being anonymous now that it won't seem like I'm playing favorites). Looking forward to seeing how the freshman class acclimates in 2020-21 and how much Sjerven, Lamb and Arens improve. Obviously going to miss a really solid senior class but there's a lot of promise coming back to the SCSC.

I knew you did after the comment on the avatar change.

I knew you did after the comment on the avatar change. Never told anyone though. I find it somewhat amusing and ironic we're on the same page politically and basketball wise now. Probably always were with the politics which is verboten to discuss here for good reason. Also, I never got the idea that you ever played favorites on here and probably tended to be a bit harder on Ciara than anyone.

Were we not on the same page at some other time?

And thanks for not telling anybody ... even though you weren't necessarily alone in knowing around these parts.

Well, just like the conversation we were having about the Jacks' roster losses in the preseason this year, there will be a 6'-1" hole in ours next year. No matter how much talent is left, you don't lose a player like that and not take a step back or two. Tay-Tay and the Bulldog will be missed in the "Scuh-Scuh" as well, of course. Even when Ciara wasn't hitting shots, she was commanding defensive attention, which is just as valuable (as you said about Miller and Guebert). Sjerven and Duffy did a good job of pulling the defense in different directions, I thought. A true "pick your poison" kinda deal IMHO. I hope you consider posting here again next season. It was great to get your insights. That way we will continue to have a Duffy in the program, so to speak. Maybe that will drive JD nutz.

I haven't coached in the in those parts since 2005. I don't think you particularly cared for us.

As a South Dakota kid I've always kept tabs on the Coyotes, but it definitely picked up with the run of Rapid City kids here starting with McCloud ... and you've got another one coming in next year. Plus, I'm just a fan now. Plitzuweit and her staff reeled me in. So, yeah, I'll definitely be around.

Those kids are all so much better in so many ways than I ever could or would be, I wouldn't ever want to disrespect them.
