It's going to be interesting. Obviously Lamb, Arens and Sjerven start. I agree that Korngable gets a fourth starting spot unless Krull comes in and is just so completely dominant that you can't keep her out of the starting lineup. But that's where it gets interesting because that means you have basically three 5-9 kids in the starting lineup. Arens can guard "up" because of her strength, which gives you a bit of flexibility, but I think obviously your fifth starter is going to have to be somebody with a little more length/size. Is that Hansen? Or Hempe? Or Ugofsky? Or somebody else?
I have no idea. But I don't think you're going to see Korngable, Arens and Lamb all starting with another guard. If you do they better be working on box-out drills in practice an awful lot.

Where will she fit in and will she see many minutes her freshman year? Seems to me she could be another Monica with her versatility and defense but I haven't seen her play alot.

Watson could definitely see some minutes. She's not going to impact games defensively like Arens does, I don't think, but she's probably a more skilled all-around offensive player. Like all freshmen she'll have to adjust to the size, physicality and pace of the college game and she'll need to get in better shape, but her skill set is all there. It's always hard to say how kids are going to adjust to the next level and how much work they're going to be willing to put in to get better ... but I don't see any reason Watson won't be able to contribute sooner rather than later.

These are all really perceptive insights. Interesting to note that all four of the incoming freshmen have been mentioned as possible contributors. I really have high hopes for these recruits who are coming in and it seems like the class behind them is just as talented. It'll be fun to watch their development.

When you compare this incoming class to those previous during the Coach P. era, it seems like the bar gets raised just a bit higher with each group of talent coming in. I for one, have a hard time grasping the concept that next year's team, or the year after, might be better than what we all witnessed this year. What a great time to be a Coyote fan!

Here is what I believe are the classes
SR - Fredericks, Duffy, McKever, Bonar Signed by Amy William & More Importantly Re-recruited by Coach P Jr. Lamb, Kunzer, Korngable, Arens - Transfer Sjveran - 1st Recruited Class So. - Peplowski, Sankey FR. - Guebert, Hempe, Ugogsky 2020 - Watson, Hansen, Krull, Mazerek 2021 - Carsen, Larkin, Duffney
You can decide for yourself how the classes can rank. Some will want to give Amy Williams the credit for the Senior Accomplishments.

Pretty veteran team next season, but competition should be fierce for playing time. Iron sharpens iron and that should make them a formidable opponent. It will be interesting to see if Coach P goes a little deeper into the bench on a regular basis next season or stays at 8-9 most games.

Bradley was inherited as well but transferred to TCU. Dawn released Rylie Cascio-Jensen from the initial class NLI so she could follow Amy, and Wright-Ponder was removed shortly before the season started. So she ended up keeping Duffy, Mckeever, and Frederick. Arens, Korngable, Lamb, and Kunzer were all the first class if I remember correctly. Pep redshirted this season to develop and hopefully be Sjerven backup next year. Believe she has 3 years eligibility left.

To my eyes Ugofsky is more of a forward at 5’11” and Peplowski is more of a center at 6’2”. Sjerven is 6’3”, and Mazurek is I believe also 6’3”. If you were looking for a comparable for Ugofsky, it might be Bridget Arens but maybe with more range. Seems like Ugofsky is thought of as a "post" when you look at rotations. I feel like Coach P likes to run a 4-1 motion most of the time, with only one post player on the floor at a time. I think that's one of the reasons Peplowski red-shirted in the first place. Too many post players ahead of her. If that is the assumption, Ugofsky seemed to play that post role with the second team this year. I don't recall ever seeing Frederick or Sjerven on the floor at the same time as her (I could be wrong). She doesn't lack for physicality in the post, even if she lacks an inch or two in height. Of course, posts are expected to be versatile in this system anyway, so it's somewhat relative, I suppose. Jeniah played with Hannah and/or Taylor quite a bit this year. I remember at least one game when all 3 were in at the same time. She was subbed in very successfully for both Chloe and Ciara at the wing, as well as for Hannah or Taylor.

Caityn Duffy was out injured all year, as was Trimboli. RCJ & Ponder were gone from intended freshman class and 2 key returning player were injured. They basically played with 6 players that whole season. They were in hunt for top seed until final week but ended up 4th seed and got beat by a UNO team they had just beat by 30 at home a couple weeks earlier. When they got to the SLT, they were literally out of gas. Then the next season they went undefeated in regular season when they had a bench, but just didn’t have the size to rebound. They’ve now had the team Dawn envisioned for 2 years IMO. They have a nice mix coming back and coming in. The future is very bright.

Here is what I am seeing for upcoming classes (2021 may have some transfers or additional commits)
Jr. Lamb 5-10, Kunzer 5-6, Korngable 5-9, Arens 5-9- Transfer Sjveran 6-3 - 1st Recruited Class So. - Peplowski 6-2, Sankey 6-0 FR. - Guebert 5-9, Hempe 5-11, Ugogsky 5-11 2020 - Watson 5-10, Hansen 6-1, Krull 5-9, Mazurek (6-2 to 6-4 depending on where you read) 2021 - Carsen 6-1, Larkin 5-9, Duffney 5-11
The Yotes have a couple of players with some height and Coach P seems to run a 4-1 motion offense so, on the offensive side of things height is not such a factor, but I am concerned more so on the defensive side of things not having an abundance of height. Thoughts?

Well, they have Sjerven, Peplowski, and Mazurek all 6’2” or taller. 5’11” is pretty good size for WBB. I bet they’re looking for posts in recruiting and always looking to fill needs.

USD did just recently offer Sydni Schetnan, a 6'5" post from SF Washington. I posted over on the SDSU board about all the D1 talent currently in the state and how I don't remember there ever being this much talent in SD. Morgan Hansen is a really similar player to Duffy and has a ton of potential. Her length allows her to play multiple positions and she creates a bunch of turnovers on defense.
