So although we lost "every game" players in Loschen, Rasmussen and Fonseca, we still have a big chunk of our starters coming back, including ALL of our Middles.
We have seven players that played in 30+ matches last year, including six that played every single match!
The experience lost at Libero and DS will be our biggest obstacle, IMHO. We will need someone to emerge there. Weideman and Bollweg will have to be the leaders, with Juhnke and Jurgens helping out as "6-rotation" players. Freshmen Petterson and Deiderich may be pulled into service, too.
I could be wrong about Emily Grathoff on not having played in 2019. I don't see any stats for her, though. Hesse served as a student assistant coach. I think she has been injured during all of her USD career. Would be nice to see her be able to play this year.
I wonder who else could end up getting more minutes at OH after losing Loschen? Sophomore Aimee Adams, or the two freshmen, Mattie Johnson or Evelyn Deiderich?

I do not believe Emily G played during the season. I think you will see Aimee Adams take the right side slot for Loschen. What makes that exciting is that she is left handed!! Tends to be more difficult to defend and she has decent size. I think you may also see both Mattie J. and Evelyn D. get some early season action to season them for conference. Thank You for the data! You Rock!!!

I think we will be just fine. The loss that is hard to fathom we replace is Anne Rasmussen at libero. Not only was she the top libero in the Summit, I would say she was somewhere near being in the top 25 in the country. That’s saying something. She was to this team what Duffy was to women’s basketball. A total difference maker.
That being said, many times someone will emerge out of the shadows and take over. There’s history of dominance in that position so I’m hopeful our next libero brings in that attitude and work ethic and quickly puts the fond thoughts we had of Anne out of our minds and replaces those thoughts with...”my gosh, this kid is going to be as good if not better.”
I trust LeAnne as a coach. She’s a gamer coach. She adjusts as well as any coach I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a ton of them. We’re gonna be just fine.
