For folks that already were fans of the NBA, I assume this is a big relief. For folks that are sports fans in general, I assume this is also a big thing. For me, I love watching basketball, but more so college than pro. I'm now getting more into the NBA, and my son is enjoying teaching me about all the players. Good stuff.
I think it is pretty amazing what they have been able to accomplish with the "bubble" strategy. I'm sure it's not cheap or easy.
Also, let me know if I missed an obvious option to provide on the poll.

I would have checked the "Not watching at all" box if there was one. Love basketball, but not a fan of the NBA in general, and both they and the NHL lost me with the mini-season-but-the-earlier-season-still-counts thing.

I sometimes watch a little NBA. Since I tend to be a Timberwolves fan, I don't watch very far into the playoffs, if at all. This summer I am much more interested in baseball.

The only time I watch the NBA is to see if LeBron is able to drag his team through the finals. I'm not sure I'll tune in this year since he has a supporting cast now.

The Stanley Cup playoffs are better than the NBA at any point in the season and it is not even close.

I fall into the category of "I don't like pro sports." That wasn't always the case, and the tipping point for me was the 94' - 95' MLB strike when the players were complaining that they weren't being paid enough, the umpires had their hands out, and the owners were griping the loudest at how little they were making...all at the expense of their fan bases. That was enough of all of it for me, and by the looks of it, pro sports have only deteriorated to an even lower point today.

I think that fans (the ones who buy $75 and up tickets, that buy $8 and up beer, etc. to pay these guys) should be represented at the table where the collective bargaining agreements are negotiated.

Good suggestion. I think the GB Packers' ownership model would be a good start.

Not watching. Absolutely opposed to kneeling during national anthem! Would be fine if before or after. I'm absolutely in favor of peaceful protest but absolutely against rioting, destruction, theft, etc!

Not watching. Absolutely opposed to kneeling during national anthem! Would be fine if before or after. I'm absolutely in favor of peaceful protest but absolutely against rioting, destruction, theft, etc! I was in the military and until recently I agree that I didn't think players should kneel during the anthem but I have changed my mind. People say that the players don't respect the flag by kneeling during the anthem but then answer this question. Does the flag respect them? It has been proven by statistics that there is definitely systemic racism in the country. The flag is a symbol of the country. If the country does not stand by it's motto of "and justice for all" than the flag isn't coming through for everyone like it should. By that reason I am 100% ok with players that kneel during the anthem, because they are doing it for the rights reasons and valid reasons. The people of this country and the government of this country have a responsibility to make this a fair country for all. Protesting is what this country is all about. People should be accountable for their own actions regardless of who you are. The police should be accountable for their actions just as protesters should be accountable for their actions. If a protester decides to get stupid they need to pay the price. People should not be stereotyped because it is not fair. Most police are good police and most protesters are good protesters so they should not be lumped with the bad ones. The key is individual accountability. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE needs to be held accountable. Unfortunately that has not been the case and until that happens things will never get better.

Standing during the national anthem is patriotic. I have a question for the kneelers. When will you stand again? When there is no racism or all police behave the way they should 100% of the time? Police are like every other group some are bad and they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Sadly there has always been racism in all cultures and all countries. It is wrong and should never happen but it does. Systematic racism in this country is a myth. We elected a black president twice, have had affirmative action programs for years, spent trillions over the years on poverty (much of which benefits people who are minorities), 650,000 died in the civil war to free the slaves, etc. We just all need to quit dividing each other by race, sex, heritage, etc and be Americans and work to continue to improve the country!
The anthem has traditionally been at least a moment to unite Americans.
