Coach P seems to be able to keep a tight lid on things. Very few were even aware that Arens was injured preseason and would miss the year.

From the grapevine myah is done for the year. Nothing official but just hoping she will be ready for the start of next year and hoping for tori to be ready for the SLT.

But like waterboy said if you have watched anyone tear an ACL what happened to myah was textbook ACL tear. Just hope it is just the ACL and no other damage that might slow her recovery.

Back in the AP poll, getting 3 votes (#31 equivalent)

Here's a new one. looking at all the various ways to rank WBB teams, I thought I'd put together a composite, comparing what the equivalent tournament seeds are for SDSU and USD. From the looks of this year's Bracketology, the lowest at-large bid teams are getting 11 seeds. So here goes: SEED | CREME | AP | COACH | NET | RPI | MASSEY | ELO | 4 |
| SDSU | 5 |
| SDSU |
| | 6 | SDSU | SDSU | SDSU |
| | 7 |
| | 8 |
| USD |
| | 9 |
| --- |
| USD |
| | 10 | USD | --- | --- | SDSU |
| SDSU | | 11 |
| --- | --- |
| | 12 |
| --- | --- |
| ** | USD | USD |
** USD's RPI rank would be the equivalent of a #19 seed. --- the AP and Coaches polls did not rank down far enough to fill some seeds

If we make an assumption that an "extended" version of the coach's poll would put us between a 10 and 12 seed, then throw out the high and low ranks and average the rest, ...
SDSU would be a 6.6-seed, USD would be a 10.6 or 11-seed. Basically just inside the bubble. So this is an elaborate way of saying that Charlie Creme is pretty good at seeding teams.

Not a whole lot of change in the rankings this week. I was thinking that State and USD might slightly increase in the NET over time with bigger wins, but instead there has been a slow regression. Still, we both finished the conference season above #40, which I think is appropriate. USD got the same "bump" in RPI the Jacks got for beating the Bison, but I still think we are a better team than #57. Luckily, we will still have a chance to prove it. The Summit in WBB finishes the season as the #14 conference in the country based on NET, and the #21 conference in the country based on RPI. Big difference. LINKLINK

www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/30423107/women-bracketology-brackets-all-shapes-sizesBracketology was updated this morning, Yotes in as a 10 with an interesting first round matchup against a 7 Iowa State. I know it’s just hypothetical but that would be a fun matchup given the recent matchup history and Iowa State not wanting to ever schedule us again. Also worth noting that Creme no longer has us as a final 4 in, so barring any surprises in the Summit Tourney and other conferences I think we’re sitting good heading into the weekend. But still let’s just win the SLT to be sure, and to get another trophy.

As much as I love this team, I don't think they get in without winning the SLT. If they had won the game against Gonzaga, or 2nd game against SDSU, or both of those games, then yes, I'd absolutely think this team is in. But let's face it, while we think our Yotes are really special and worthy, we are still small players in the mind of the NCAA selection committee.
So let's just go and win this whole thing!!!
