Whatever happened to that guy that said we haven't beat anybody good? I wanted the Coyotes to win for many reasons but there is something I wanted to say that could only have an impact if the Coyotes had won tonight. To the Jacks fan or fans saying that the Coyotes haven't beaten anyone good. "Well the Coyotes still haven't beaten anyone good".

Whatever happened to that guy that said we haven't beat anybody good? I’m right here just like I said I would be. That was a sh*t show of a basketball game. Noah was awful and would have missed water if he fell out of a boat. Douglas was continues to struggle from the free throw line. Every time it looked like we might make a run you guys had an answer. Neither team played great but the coyotes definitely looked like a first place team that is playing better basketball right now as much as it hurts me to say it. Maybe Coyote Fan is right and you guys still haven’t played anyone good. If I knew how I would insert Adam Sandler’s happy Gilmore clip you were right I was wrong. Your smart I’m stupid.

once can be considered a fluke but now that the Coyotes have won twice, it is no longer a fluke. The Coyotes will have to play twice as good to win again tomorrow night. We will see a different Jacks team tomorrow just like on the Women's side we will see a different Coyotes team tomorrow.
Imagine if the game was in Vermillion instead. Usually when the teams play in Vermillion the games are much different then they are in Brookings or Sioux Falls.

New day, another opportunity. I looked at the stats to see if anything jumped out at me, but honestly the offensive stats for both teams were so bad and out of character that there isn't much to consider (my two favorites: Yotes shot 21.7% from 3 and only scored 6 points off 14 turnovers ). That said, much of the strategy on defense worked out - will need to adjust that as the game flows. Number 1 takeaway: Yotes should have confidence. Confidence to win on the road. Confidence to win regardless of the style of play. Confidence to win even when things aren't going their way.

Well and that’s the drum we’ve been beating for a while now, USD has won a lot of road games, and winning on the road is always harder. So they’re a bit battle tested. You could say the schedule was advantageous for a team needing to gel, and they’ve made the most of it. I would expect better offensive performances from both teams tonight.

Umude shut Wilson down. Need to sag off him and let him shoot mid range jumpers, he excels when he gets a head of steam to the rim.

Yotes lead by 6 at half. Hold on and it would mean 10-0 in Summit play and our first win in Brookings since February 5, 2021.

The game is over, but I think I just sensed USD making another unforced turnover. That should make about 20 on the day.
Really disappointing to see the Yotes give this one away. Still, I feel this weekend leaves no doubt USD is the team to beat in the league. I can't believe that's the case, given how things looked earlier this year, but we truly seem like we deserve our spot at the top of the standings. Challenging games remain against NDSU and ORU. I'm fully expecting the 1 seed at this point though.

Excellent 30 minutes of basketball and Incredibly poor 10 minutes of basketball. We did not deserve to win based on how we finished that game. It seems like we left our game plan and became frantic as time went on.

I had this weekend penciled in as 0-2 as soon as the schedule came out. Don't get a home game in the series and still managed to steal one at Frost. The summit league sucks for doing this double header crap, especially in a rivalry series.
The yotes play their worst game as a unit in over a month and controlled the game most of the way. 17 turnovers and lost by 9. I'm still feeling pretty good about this team at this point considering what the expectations were for this year.
On another note, somebody still owes Freidel a shot in the nads. That guy annoys the hell out of me. Glad he's not in red.

A lot of work yet to do, starting with forgetting about the last 10 minutes.

We were simply stopped dead in our tracks by their defensive adjustments and we panicked. Kudos to State for that change. Good lesson for this team.

Would not surprise me at all to hear he found a way to get some rando to reel off and sock him. I also am glad we don't have him. I used to think differently, figuring he had growing up to do, but he keeps getting older and remains an embarrassment. Character matters.
