NDSU trails Southern Illinois 31-7 early in the 4th quarter. What?! Unthinkable!
UND leads state 21-17 early in the 4th. An upset if true.
UNI shutout Youngstown State.

NDSU now down 38-7 with 3 minutes to go.
How is this even possible? SIU has been average at best the past several years. I get that Trey Lance left to focus on the NFL draft, but this program has been bigger than one guy for sooo long. When USD cut down Wentz, in came Stick who led them to yet another title (of which they've won 7 of the last 8 FCS titles).
Shocking. Utterly shocking to see NDSU get beat like this. Most years I would expect them to keep it closer than this against anyone, even Bama.

What's shocking is that it's SIU, coming off a lopsided loss to UND, that worked over NDSU.

UND has beaten state. So I guess UND is the team up north to beat.
Glad our game at UND is in 5 days, 800 miles from where the team is right now, at 5 PM on a Thursday. No way that game favors one over the other.

SIU was better than average in 2019. They should’ve made the playoffs but got hosed.
Maybe we will see some erosion from NDSU in year 2 for Entz?

Why on earth is there a Thursday game at all during a spring season? The building isn't being used for basketball or hockey. And if there is a farm show or something UND should be on the road, right? Having a dome team go on the road to play a dome team on a Thursday seem utterly ridiculous.

I had the same feelings about our Friday games, but Thursday is a whole other level of ridiculous. 5 PM kickoff is annoying too. I don't get home from work until 6.

I strolled over to Bisonville this morning, because I love seeing a good meltdown. That is one toxic place. I knew it would be bad, granted the arrogance and the company it attracts, but I still wasn't prepared for what I saw. Here are some highlights of my schadenfreude:
Constant ragging on the TV production. One poster reiterated their desire to punch one of the broadcasters in the face a few times. A different poster said they didn't have the right to talk about soybeans. Several posters insist one of the broadcasters hates NDSU and many said that this blowout definitely aroused them (in more colorful terms). Keep in mind NDSU has their own travelling broadcast crew strictly dedicated to their football team. Someone mentioned being grateful for this and they were cut down saying every other MVFC team only has 1 fan and doesn't deserve their own broadcast.
Blaming the loss on their head coach for focusing too much on social justice issues. Blaming Trey Lance for making the coach focus on these issues. Insisting that this created division in the locker room. Insisting that donations to the program have fallen off dramatically because of all this. Plenty disowning Trey Lance in general.
So many vulgar personal attacks on each other. The place seems completely without moderation. Politics and conspiracy theories managed to get into the game thread, which led to more personal attacks. Anyone trying to connect the mob with reality had their fanhood questioned. Pissing matches about how long they've been fans or who is the bigger fan (how close are your seats? Donation level? Trips to Frisco?).
Sooooo many references to UND, also known as the Wioux, UN_, Fhawkers, undies, The UNDetermined, GFCC, and on and on. It is absolutely wild how much that fanbase thinks about UND. They are terrified that they may lose that game this season.
Some guy really hates Iowa. Like 3 or 4 times he made posts about his hatred of the state of Iowa. Two of their coaches should be fired for being from Iowa. Vulgarity aimed at Iowa State because a player transferred in from there. I Oughtta Went Around. Just unhinged stuff.
Everyone is suddenly upset that NDSU didn't opt out of the spring season. It doesn't matter who wins the title this year anyways, just gotta beat UND. I looked back to posts prior to yesterday and didn't see this sentiment. Weird.
A couple of sane people came in to state that all of this ridiculousness is why they stopped reading Bisonville. I have to say that I would be in the same boat if any of that stuff was happening here.
Honestly, it was weird how much of the discussion was centered on anything but the game. I read hundreds of posts and don't really know much about what happened yesterday. I know everything they hate though.

It was all because of the Summit League Tournament. They were trying to avoid basketball teams playing at the same time as football teams. So USD & UND got creative since both have indoor facilities and are in the SLT. USD’s first two games were scheduled for home games on Friday nights, and that was to ease burden on facilities staff because those were also basketball weekends. Playing on Thursday before spring break was probably partly because of the SLT, wanting to use domes in the early weeks, and avoid the SLT. But then Indy State screwed the whole thing up, so blame them!

This post from the UND message board indicates that a camper & gun show was scheduled at the Alerus prior to football season being moved to the spring. I believe that Herbster had said the same in an earlier YoteCast and that's why both the games prior to that on the original spring schedule were set for Friday nights.

The ole bloodhound sniffs it out 😂. Basically the Thursday game wasn’t a big deal until the schedule re-shuffle.

No one in the league has it tougher than USD. That start is brutal. That being said, make it your badge of honor to take a negative and turn it into a positive. 2 road wins against top ranked teams would be a HUGE thing. HUGE.
Instead of complaining make it your team mantra. This game we can win. But even if we don’t the rough part is over. We get 2 very good teams at home ( NDDU & UNI ). We go to Youngstown and that’s certainly doable. Then the rival game with the Jacks. Could possibly have playoff implications IF we stay within ourselves. One game at a time.

Yeah, I've got a different view of that board after reading some nasty vulgar personal attacks on Coach P after the NDSU game. No checks on that stuff either from the mods or even from other posters.
