Last chance to catch this team in action at the SCSC this Friday and Saturday evening. Help celebrate Senior Night on Friday and create a great atmosphere for two HUGE matches between the top teams in the Summit League.

Observation:
Kansas City did not play any out of conference games and their lone loss was to Omaha 2-3 at Omaha. There does not appear to be a huge size difference between the squads. The Yotes have a slightly better hitting % and tend to block a bit better. By the looks of the stats both teams seem to service aggressively. Like I seem to say on most of my postings.... it will come down to service receiving and passing on this match. It should be an entertaining contest with the two teams with the best record in the conference. The Yotes just need to focus on tonight and take care of business. Let's go 1-0 tonight
Remaining Games After this weekend - Kansas City still has two games remaining with Denver at KC & USD has two games at Western Illinois at WI

I pretty much knew when there were no posts since before game time that there was about a 75% chance that they lost and sure enough in 5 sets they went down. Tomorrow is a must win to have hopes to still win the league.

Sorry for not posting as it was nearly 11pm when I got home. You are right Coyote Fan the Yotes went down 3-2 last evening.
There will be some that get on me for comments but in my opinion the team and atmosphere in the building were extremely flat. After being at the match last night I was very disappointed. I do not believe the team with the best talent won the game. It appeared to me that KC wanted that match far more than the Yotes. The team looked a bit off. I saw Madison Harms riding a bike whenever she wasn't on the floor which tells me she was battling something. When you out hit, dig and assist a team and your blocks and service aces are nearly identical you should win.
Volleyball is an extremely energy driven sport and the SCSC didn't have it last night. There are ways with how the event is run that can assist with getting the team and fans engaged and that is not happening. It is called creating that home court advantage and the Yotes could have use that last night to get over the hump. I hope everyone can step up their game tonight and bring home the win.

I was worried about the atmosphere last night. A lot of things going on to take attention away from volleyball: Vermillion boys in State A BB tournament, USD WBB out of town preparing to play in the Dance on Monday night, the first day of NCAA March Madness on TV in almost 2 years. Hopefully a better effort tonight.
KC is not an overpowering team, but they are just solid. They seemed to take advantage of any mistakes the Yotes made.

I thought that with everything going on in the sporting world as well as Covid there was a decent crowd. The match was intense and while the outcome wasn't what I wanted, it was an enjoyable night.

I think if they let fans into the VB SLT we will see us max out on the allotment, whatever that is. I’ll bring as many friends and family that want to go.

Yotes come from behind and claw back to a first set win 25-21. Multiple aces from Three Yotes and a one-handed circus dig from Juhnke.

I swear this team must like to play from behind. Was down 4-11, then went on a 10-0 run (and counting) to take the lead 14-11.
