I like that the NCAA can't enforce it, but there should be some kind of oversight committee at the national level. The NCAA has always been a scam, but there does need to be an organization in place that governs this type of thing. Should be voted on and made up of athletic directors from around the country. Being able to offer sweeter deals is a good thing for all involved, but can't go unchecked.

You're kind of missing the point. The Supreme Court said you can't put limits on those things. So there can be no governing body that puts limits on those things as it is collusion and violate the interstate commerce clause.
And to answer the question, this is very bad IMO. College sports are over as you know it. I have no interest in supporting semi-pro sports at the college level.

But if this is used for education, it could be awesome. I'd love to see scholarship offers start including graduate degree tuition should the athlete decide to continue their education. I thought hard about going to law school in Vermillion after graduation, but the idea of taking out a bunch of loans to pay for it made me go a different direction. The fact is, a bachelors degree isn't worth much anymore in terms of earning potential. If sweetening the pot means giving kids a chance to pursue their education beyond the 4 years they get to suit up, then I'm all for it. If this turns into sports cars and salaries as part of a scholarship offer, I'm completely against that as well.

With redshirt years and the availability of summer classes, any semi ambitious student athlete should already be able to obtain an undergrad and a graduate degree during their time on campus. Seems to me many already do this.
