Our team is very talented and experienced. They're almost the same team as last year's conference tournament champs. I have no doubt that they will begin to solidify and get rolling sooner than later. This weekend should be a good place to start. Yup. We have a serious edge in talent and experience. If we can just settle down, limit errors, and stay in-system.... then we should control the game IMHO. A dominant blocking performance from the Yotes would be tough to overcome, I think. Plus, Juhnke is due for a big night.

Highlights from the GoYotes article:
Just a great performance. After losing the first set, Adjustments were made, and we never trailed after that.

From the post-game:
on the adjustments from first set to second:
Jurgens: "We knew it was serve-and-pass. We missed quite a few serves in the first set.... our attitude changed..."
Juhnke: " Cleaning up our serve-pass after the first set turned the game around."
Coach: "That first set, we'd like to have back. We had 7 missed serves and got aced twice. Right away you're giving them almost 10 points...in past weekends, I don't think we would have handled that well. To see our team bounce back ... was important to see.... Every match will be difficult in the Summit League, so that was a good way to start."

On what adjustments were made:
Coach: "One thing that Jurgs did a really good job of, was understanding ... what adjustments (the Jacks) were making. Early on, we were able to get our middles involved in some specific situations. They started collapsing in on them, putting their middles on ours, which allowed our pins (outside hitters) to open up. And Jurgs took advantage of that. Then once they started going away from the middles, we were able to get our middles involved again."
"We had to make some adjustments defensively, both with our block and backcourt. That's what good teams are going to do to you. They are going to make you have to change things. I thought our team handled those changes really well."

On using our depth on offense:
Coach: "It's a big part of it, that first contact in serve-receive, being able to give Jurgs the opportunity to set multiple people. [so that] we aren't so predictable on the offense. I think everybody knows our outsides are good. But we have the full lineup. We have a full team that can score points at a high level. We have to be able to utilize that."
